TrueCar's Leadership Expansion Targets Enhanced Dealer Engagement and Data Strategy
TrueCar Strengthens Leadership Team
TrueCar, recognized as a leading automotive brand, is taking major steps to enhance its dealer relationships and data strategies. The company recently announced the addition of two key executives: Nikole Wells, previously with INFINITI, joins as Senior Vice President of Dealer Sales, and Steve Moretti, a veteran from Rivian and Kelley Blue Book, assumes the role of Senior Director of Data Acquisition and Strategic Partnerships.
Enhancing Dealer Engagement
With a clear focus on dealer engagement, TrueCar aims to improve the quality of transactions facilitated for its dealers. Under Wells' guidance, the dealer sales organization will see a unified approach that encompasses franchise, independent sales, national accounts, and strategic accounts. Leading a team of 28 professionals, Wells’ mission is to align operations that drive efficiency and foster better relationships between TrueCar and its extensive dealer network.
Wells is no stranger to the automotive industry; she brings over 25 years of experience to the table. Prior to her new role, she served as the Regional Vice President at INFINITI West, a position that entrusted her with overseeing sales, marketing, dealer performance, and customer experience across multiple states. Her previous stints at Nissan North America included successful leadership roles in sales program development and spearheading initiatives that significantly boosted electric vehicle sales nationwide.
Data-Driven Success
While Wells focuses on enhancing dealer engagement, Moretti's role centers on the critical aspect of data acquisition. As the Senior Director, he will create and strengthen partnerships with key data providers and aggregators, positioning TrueCar as a leader in data authority within the automotive sector.
Moretti has a solid background in data strategies and partnerships, having previously contributed to Kelley Blue Book's growth as the Vice President of Business Development and Partnerships. His experience at TrueCar dates back to its early days as a strategic consultant for the founding team, giving him unique insight into the company's growth trajectory and product development.
The synergy between their leadership styles and expertise will allow TrueCar to effectively streamline operations and better serve its dealer partners. As noted by Scott Painter, TrueCar's CEO and Founder, "The foundation of our business rests on the principle that better data leads to better transactions.” This vision will be executed more robustly with the integration of Wells and Moretti into the executive team.
The Path Forward
As TrueCar continues to navigate the difficulties of a rapidly evolving automotive landscape, the company is poised for a transformative journey. With a new strategy rooted in clarity on pricing and improved transaction efficiency, TrueCar aims to empower dealers to connect with customers more effectively. The focus on becoming a data-driven organization will not only enhance sales velocity but also foster long-term relationships, ensuring that both dealers and consumers benefit from the advanced systems TrueCar is developing.
Ultimately, the leadership expansion reflects TrueCar's commitment to innovation and its proactive approach to the challenges of the automotive market. The next phase of TrueCar's evolution is ahead, and with Wells and Moretti leading the charge, the company sets a clear path to achieving its objectives in the months and years to come.
