This strategic hire is designed to bolster the company’s capabilities in navigating a complex regulatory landscape and support its ambitious growth trajectory.

In conjunction with Turner’s arrival, Dennis Burnett will maintain his current role as General Counsel, focusing on intricate areas involving regulation, exports, privacy, and national security. John Serafini, the CEO of HawkEye 360, commented on this development, asserting that Michael’s leadership comes at a crucial juncture for the company. With the integration of Innovative Signal Analysis and the recent Series E funding, Michael’s extensive expertise in public company governance and complex transactions will directly align with and support the company’s long-term vision and growth strategy.

Turner's last position was as Chief Legal and Administrative Officer at 908 Devices, a public company excelling in developing specialized chemical analysis tools for various applications, including health and safety. Before that, he was also the Co-Chief Executive Officer, General Counsel, and Executive Director of Allied Minds plc, a publicly traded venture firm specializing in the development of early-stage technology and life sciences companies.

Expressing his enthusiasm, Turner stated, "I am excited to join HawkEye 360 at such an important moment for the company and the defense technology industry. I look forward to working closely with the leadership team as the company continues to grow and expand its capabilities." He further emphasized that the company's mission-driven approach and focus on delivering trusted, actionable signals intelligence to U.S. Government and allied customers closely correlates with his experience and values.

Throughout his career, Michael Turner held prominent roles as a partner at leading law firms such as DLA Piper LLP and Goodwin Procter LLP. He is well-versed in advising both public and private companies, investment banks, and private equity and venture capital firms on capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance complexities. Turner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Colgate University and a Juris Doctor from Cornell Law School, equipping him with a strong educational foundation to support his impressive career.
