Early Reservations for Mini Three-Tiered Osechi 'Jushun' Using Domestic Ingredients Begin

Early Reservations for 'Jushun' Osechi

Starting from October 6, Life Club, a cooperative based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has launched early reservations for its miniature three-tiered osechi called 'Jushun.' Focused on the use of domestic ingredients and a reduction in additives, this offering is designed for families looking for a healthier option during the New Year celebrations.

Osechi, a traditional Japanese cuisine, is prepared to welcome the god of the year while limiting cooking activities during the first three days of the year. Therefore, special methods are employed to enhance flavor and preservation. However, many commercially available osechi tend to include preservatives and colorings. Life Club has diligently created a safer and more health-conscious offering that captures the essence of this traditional dish, ensuring not only taste but also the wellbeing of its consumers.

This year, recognizing the needs of smaller families, Life Club introduces the mini three-tier osechi 'Jushun'—ideal for those who find making osechi themselves to be a strenuous task yet wish for a home-cooked flavor. It is also suited for those who prefer a light osechi among a spread of other New Year delicacies.

The 'Jushun' osechi is crafted from domestically sourced ingredients and NON-GM (non-genetically modified) materials whenever possible. This meticulous selection allows the natural flavors to shine, creating a delicious and body-friendly osechi. Traditional flavoring techniques are used, including soy sauce that has been naturally brewed in wooden barrels and salt that has been carefully simmered, giving it a home-cooked taste.

Key ingredients include premium domestic roast beef and 'Tansei Kuni-dori' chicken, known for being raised in spacious environments with non-GMO feed, cared for to ensure quality. Life Club aims to promote health and longevity through its osechi, emphasizing safe ingredients.
