McDonald's Launches McValue Platform: A New Era of Affordable Dining



Starting January 7, 2025, McDonald's will roll out its innovative McValue platform across its U.S. restaurants, aimed at providing customers with enhanced value and additional food choices. The fast-food giant, synonymous with affordable dining, is set to enrich the options available while ensuring enjoyable meal experiences for patrons.

The McValue initiative introduces a revised value menu tailored for a broad audience. Among the standout features of this new platform is the continuation of the beloved $5 Meal Deal, which has been a customer favorite for years. This deal includes a choice between a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, a small fries, four-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a soft drink, all for just five dollars. Notably, this offer will remain available through the summer of 2025.

In line with customer-centric approaches, the McValue menu will also include enticing in-app promotions, locally curated deals, and a fresh "Buy One, Add One for $1" feature that allows diners to mix and match their favorite items. This new offer will extend across McDonald's menu categories, making breakfast, lunch, and dinner even more enticing. For instance, breakfast options under this offer feature classics such as the Sausage McMuffin, Sausage Biscuit, and Hash Browns.

During lunch and dinner, patrons can take advantage of additional favorites, including the six-piece Chicken McNuggets, Double Cheeseburger, and McChicken. The flexibility to create custom meal combinations empowers customers to curate their dining experience, thus meeting individual tastes and budgets.

Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald's USA, expressed the company's commitment to delivering value that resonates with various customer preferences. He stated, "When it comes to value, we know there's no one-size-fits-all. We've worked closely with our franchisees to create a new platform that will let our customers define value on their own terms."

Additionally, franchise owners of McDonald's have been instrumental in shaping this value initiative. Cory Watson, an Owner/Operator and National Value Chair for 2025, emphasized the importance of community feedback in crafting the McValue platform. According to Watson, "As local small business owners, my fellow franchisees and I are always listening to what our customers want from their neighborhood McDonald's. They tell us how important it is for them to find their favorite meals at affordable prices, and we couldn’t agree more."

To complement the McValue offerings, McDonald's will persist in its commitment to regional food deals and exclusive in-app savings to foster a unique dining experience for every customer. Franchise owners, who operate approximately 95% of McDonald's restaurants in the U.S., will contribute to maintaining local engagement through exclusive promotions on popular items such as iced coffees, cheeseburgers, and chicken nuggets.

As the new year approaches, McDonald's aims to redefine value dining with the introduction of the McValue platform. The company encourages patrons to visit their local McDonald's or the MyMcDonald's app starting January 7 to explore the myriad value options available.
