Global Bible Month Launched by Faith Apps to Engage Millions in Scripture

Global Bible Month: A Celebration of Scripture

In a groundbreaking initiative, three leading applications—YouVersion, Glorify, and Hallow—are combining their resources to launch Global Bible Month this November. This momentous effort emphasizes the transformative power of engaging with the Bible and highlights a historic collaboration among organizations usually considered competitors. This collective mission also involves collaborations with other notable entities like BibleProject, Wonder Project, He Gets Us, Come and See, and The Chosen.

A Month of Engagement

Starting November 1, Global Bible Month invites participants from diverse backgrounds to immerse themselves in the Scriptures for 30 consecutive days. Current research underscores that frequent Bible reading—four or more days each week—can lead to significant life changes. Encouragingly, more than 1.5 million individuals have already pledged to partake in this transformational journey.

Participants have the option to choose their preferred way of engaging with the Bible. They can read their cherished physical copies or access digital resources through apps. Glorify will lead an exciting 30 Days of Devotionals, centered on the idea of God's words being alive and dynamic. Hallow will present the Bible Sleep Story Challenge, featuring Jonathan Roumie, while YouVersion will provide an array of new 30-day Plans for its users.

A Monumental Campaign

The outreach of this campaign will make waves across the globe, with prominent displays at iconic landmarks like Times Square in New York City, Sphere in Las Vegas, and Christ the Redeemer in Brazil. Additionally, attendees can view the Dead Sea Scrolls at The Museum of the Bible, along with specially curated Bible content available on Amazon Prime.

Bobby Gruenewald, the Founder and CEO of YouVersion, expressed, “As people search for what's real and true, the Bible stands alone. Our mission to share it transcends individual platforms.” He further added, “Observing organizations that could be competitors deciding to collaborate is indeed remarkable; people are uniting around God’s Word, which is something truly worth celebrating.”

Glorify's founder, Henry Costa, emphasized that Global Bible Month aims to assist individuals in forging a personal connection with God through His Word. Costa remarked, “When we align our efforts towards this mission, we are collectively advancing His kingdom and sharing His love with the world.”

Hallow’s CEO and Co-Founder, Alex Jones, expressed his delight at joining this celebration: “It’s an incredible opportunity to honor what God is doing in the world through His Word. We are privileged to invite everyone to dive deeper into Scripture together.”

Exciting Developments at YouVersion

This November also marks an exciting milestone for YouVersion, as the app approaches 1 billion installs globally. The platform has witnessed unprecedented interactions with the Bible, boasting 15.8 million daily users, a 16.5% increase compared to the previous year. This momentum will culminate in a remarkable event dubbed “Beyond A Billion,” scheduled for November 17 at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City. This festive gathering will celebrate the profound impact of the Bible and will feature stirring worship performances from renowned artists like Lauren Daigle, CeCe Winans, and Craig Groeschel.
