Fruit Attraction 2025 Set to Achieve 90% Occupancy, Solidifying Global Leadership

Fruit Attraction 2025 Marks a New Era of Global Leadership

The upcoming Fruit Attraction 2025, organized by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, is set to take place from September 30 to October 2 at the Madrid trade fair center. With an impressive occupancy rate of over 90% already secured four months before the event, it aims to reinforce its position as a premier global trade fair for the fruit and vegetable industry. The announcement was made by the event's director, María José Sánchez, during the unveiling of this year's program, which also featured insights from FEPEX leaders Cecilio Peregrín and José María Pozancos.

As of now, 70,000 m² of exhibition space is dedicated to this year’s fair, reflecting an 8% increase compared to the prior year. The organizers anticipate the participation of more than 2,500 exhibiting companies alongside approximately 120,000 professionals across 150 countries.

A New Structure for Enhanced Experience

This edition marks a significant evolution in Fruit Attraction's history, showcasing innovative changes in its structure and sector representation. By expanding into 10 exhibition halls—numbers 3 through 14—Madrid will transform into a vibrant hub for fresh produce marketing. Odd-numbered halls are set to feature newly launched products from Spanish businesses, while even-numbered halls will host international exhibitors. Notably, Halls 4, 6, and 8 will spotlight European companies, Hall 12 will cater to interests from the Americas, and Hall 14 will share the innovations of African and Asian businesses.

A key highlight of this year’s event will be the Fresh Food Logistics area located in Hall 4, aimed at addressing logistics challenges in the fresh produce supply chain. Each exhibition hall will also include an Auxiliary Industry area, ensuring that all segments of the value chain are represented at Fruit Attraction 2025.

Celebrating the Tomato and Organic Products

In another exciting addition, the tomato has been designated as the star product for this year's fair. A series of themed activities will showcase this popular vegetable, which remains Spain's most consumed vegetable and a critical component of the agricultural economy.

Fruit Attraction 2025 will also prioritize organic products through special initiatives that focus on recognition and promotion of organic exhibitors. A series of actions are planned to spotlight stands that feature organic products, significantly enhancing their visibility during the fair.

The Return and Enhancement of International Buyer Programs

The prestigious International Buyers Programme will return this year, upgraded by the introduction of the Guest Importing Countries initiative. Countries including Mexico and Malaysia are expected to take center stage, promoting new commercial ties and opportunities within their respective markets.

  • - Best Stand Awards: For the second consecutive year, Fruit Attraction will recognize creativity and innovation through the Best Stand Awards. This accolade honors exhibition spaces that exhibit outstanding creativity in design and sustainability, with awards distributed across various categories including Most Original Stand, Best Design, Most Sustainable Stand, and the People's Choice Award.

Spotlight on Innovation

Innovation continues to play a pivotal role at the heart of Fruit Attraction. The Innovation Hub Awards will commend exceptional projects, products, or services that demonstrate exceptional innovation, sustainable practices, and technology application. Entries will be showcased in the Innovation Hub area connecting Halls 4 and 6.

Additionally, Fruit Attraction will immerse attendees in knowledge-sharing opportunities through diverse forums, where expert-led seminars will explore various industry topics. Among notable events, the Grape Attraction Congress, Biofruit Congress, and Fresh Food Logistics The Summit promise enlightening discussions and networking possibilities.

As anticipation builds for the event, Fruit Attraction 2025 not only signals the resilience of the fresh produce sector but also underscores Madrid's role as a key player on the global stage in the marketing of fresh products. Mark your calendars for this can’t-miss event, available for all participants from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM daily, extending to 4:00 PM on the final day. Let’s embrace an era of growth, innovation, and sustainable practices in the fruit and vegetable industry at Fruit Attraction 2025!
