Sparkling Sciences Showcases Innovations at COSME Week Osaka
The innovative biotechnology company based in Taiwan, Sparkling Sciences, is set to exhibit at the renowned COSME Week Osaka, scheduled for September 24 to 26, 2025. This event, regarded as one of the largest cosmetics development exhibitions in Asia, will feature cutting-edge exosome products developed through the company's proprietary technology.
On the first day of the exhibition, the founder, Dr. Takashi Kō, will deliver a special lecture focused on anti-aging applications in regenerative medicine. His presentation, titled "Utilizing Exosomes for Anti-Aging," will take place at the CWS-1 seminar room from 13:50 to 14:10. With his dual Ph.D. qualifications in management and finance, alongside pursuing a master's degree in fine arts in Japan, Dr. Kō will draw on his extensive practical experience in both the optics industry and consulting to discuss the forefront applications of exosomes in regenerative therapies and anti-aging solutions.
This year's exhibition will showcase a diverse range of products utilizing their unique high-purity exosome raw materials specifically designed for skincare and scalp care, alongside functional products aimed at enhancing pet health. Situated at booth C2-57 within the Intex Osaka venue, Sparkling Sciences plans to unveil its latest product lineup that incorporates advanced exosome technology.
In his upcoming lecture, Dr. Kō will elaborate on the company’s achievements in developing both human and pet products, sharing his vision for future growth in the Asian market. After returning to Taiwan from Japan in 2019, he began researching exosomes and, in 2024, established the biopharmaceutical company Tomo Yume, launching Sparkling Sciences as its research and development subsidiary. The goal was to create higher purity exosome materials with a broader range of applications continuously.
To strengthen its presence in Japan, Sparkling Sciences plans to establish another subsidiary, ArcBio Corporation, in Tokyo in 2025. This initiative aims to bolster local support systems and expand the exosome bio-network across Asia while exploring opportunities in international markets.
Dr. Kō’s entrepreneurial philosophy revolves around the notion that business is not a straight path to success but rather a journey of perpetual adjustments. He likens entrepreneurship to drawing a circle, a metaphor for continuously reevaluating and modifying one’s strategies.
