LITFINCON to Launch Its First European Conference in Amsterdam
LITFINCON, the global conference series focusing on litigation funding and organized by Siltstone Capital, will host its inaugural European edition on October 7-8, 2026, at the luxurious Rosewood Amsterdam. Registration is officially open at
litfinconeurope.com.
The timing of this event is strategic as Europe has established itself as one of the foremost markets in litigation financing. This is aided by the rise in cross-border class actions, international arbitration, intellectual property disputes, the Netherlands' WAMCA regime, the burgeoning Unified Patent Court, and a constantly evolving regulatory environment. These advancements are significantly changing the landscape of how legal claims are financed and managed. LITFINCON Europe aims to bring together investors, funders, law firms, corporate legal advisors, and sector leaders to propel the next stage of this asset class.
Following the LITFINCON Asia event set for June 2026 in Singapore, the Amsterdam conference builds upon five years of growth in the series. Previous LITFINCON events held in Houston, Beverly Hills, and Singapore attracted over 1,000 attendees and established LITFINCON as a leading global forum for industry executives focused on litigation funding.
Jim Batson, the Director of Legal Funding Investments at Siltstone Capital, stated, "Europe faces several key issues in litigation funding, and those addressing these challenges have not had a dedicated platform until now. The choice of Amsterdam serves to unite funders, law firms, and capital in one space—creating the most relevant discussions."
Under the theme, "The Claim is the Intellectual Property Asset: Arbitration, Class Actions, and the Investors Who Know," the conference will feature eleven panels over two days that will delve into the legal, business, and investment trends shaping the future of litigation funding. The sessions will cover various topics such as regulatory frameworks in the UK, EU, and the United States; European transaction structures; collective redress and class actions; international arbitration and cross-border enforcement; law firm and portfolio financing; risk transfer and insurance; intellectual property litigation funding; allocations to European and global litigation funding firms; and the role of AI and technology in legal financing. The complete agenda is available at
litfinconeurope.com/agenda.
Robert Le, Co-founder of Siltstone Capital, remarked, "Legal funding is increasingly being recognized as an institutional asset class, attracting growing interest from banks, pension funds, insurance companies, family offices, and alternative asset managers seeking differentiated and uncorrelated returns. Europe has become one of the most attractive markets for institutional capital investment, fueled by legal innovation, the expansion of commercial opportunities, and rising investor demand."
Early registration is highly recommended, as the venue has limited capacity to facilitate meaningful discussions. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for companies looking to connect with senior executives from the global litigation funding ecosystem. Interested partners can reach out via email to [email protected].
The LITFINCON series will continue with LITFINCON Houston, scheduled for February 24-25, 2027, at The Post Oak Hotel in Houston, Texas.
