Shangri-La Tokyo Unveils Christmas Dinner Reservations for 2025

Welcome to a Festive Culinary Journey at Shangri-La Tokyo

As the Christmas season approaches, the Shangri-La Tokyo invites guests to savor a unique dining experience with exclusive Christmas dinner reservations available starting from October 6. Located in the heart of Marunouchi, Tokyo, and under the management of General Manager Matthias Sutter, the hotel proudly presents three distinctive dining options: the Italian restaurant "Piacere," traditional Japanese cuisine at "Nadaman," and the beautiful "The Lobby Lounge."

A Celebration of Culinary Excellence

Each restaurant offers a festive menu meticulously crafted by skilled chefs, utilizing seasonal ingredients to create unforgettable dishes for family and loved ones to enjoy. The magical ambiance of twinkling city lights and the spirit of Christmas sets the perfect backdrop for this culinary celebration.

Italian Splendor at Piacere

At "Piacere," guests can indulge in a lavish six-course Italian dinner featuring carefully selected ingredients from across Japan. The meal begins with three delightful amuse-bouches: a sea urchin cocktail, a tuna tart, and a savory black truffle and honey mustard pie. Each tiny morsel delivers a subtle yet exquisite flavor, heightening expectations for the special evening ahead.

For the appetizer, the menu features a confit of blue lobster and a scallop carpaccio topped with a warm bisque sauce, accompanied by a luxurious foie gras terrine that resembles an apple, cleverly incorporating apple puree and compote, served with balsamic sauce and sweet potato chips. The delectable gnocchi made from aged potatoes sourced from Murakami Farm in Hokkaido is paired with flavorful pork sausage from Nishiyama Farm in Kagoshima, and garnished with chestnut chips and white truffle.

Next, the main attraction is a beautifully seared sweetfish, layered with a puree of lily bulbs and turnips, accentuated by a foam of shellfish broth and topped with caviar from Miyazaki. This dish encapsulates sophisticated flavors while enhancing the fish's natural taste. Guests can also opt for the Kyoto-nanboga duck, paired with vibrant beets and raspberries, bringing out the rich flavors of the dish. Alternatively, a premium Yokohama beef option is available for an additional fee, featuring tenderloin wrapped in a porcini duxelles and lightly fried to retain its juiciness, complemented by a rich Madeira sauce flavored with generous truffles.

To round off the experience, diners are treated to a stunning dessert—a chocolate dome encasing yuzu mousse, elegantly adorned with a gold plate topped with edible gold leaf. The rich chocolate harmonizes beautifully with a rosé champagne granita, offering a delightful conclusion to the meal.

Japanese Gastronomy at Nadaman

The seasoning for the evening continues at "Nadaman" with a special Christmas teppanyaki dinner, showcasing the mastery of hibachi chefs. The luxurious meal begins with a decadent appetizer featuring foie gras terrine wrapped in thinly sliced puffer fish, accompanied by fresh sea urchin and caviar. Guests also partake in the live preparation of top-quality seafood like lobsters and hairy crabs, elevating the dining experience through an engaging performance.

One highlight includes a comparison of A5-ranked black Wagyu beef filet and sirloin, encouraging diners to appreciate the distinct flavors and cooking techniques of each cut during this extraordinary evening.

Traditional Charm at The Lobby Lounge

For a traditional touch, "The Lobby Lounge" invites guests to embrace the classic Christmas spirit. The dinner begins with seafood appetizers, including lobster tartine, salmon rolls with a generous topping of salmon roe, and crab cocktails beautifully arranged like an afternoon tea stand, featuring luxurious ingredients such as truffles.

The main course features a classic Beef Wellington, tender beef filet wrapped in pastry and served with a rich red wine sauce—an emblem of the holiday season. To finish, festive desserts like the traditional Yule log, rare cheesecake snowman, and berry compote grace the table, adding a vibrant touch to the Christmas gathering.
