Earth Beat Festival 2025: A Celebration of Food's Future

The Earth Beat Festival 2025 is set to be a groundbreaking event that will bring together individuals passionate about agriculture, food, and sustainability. Scheduled to take place on November 8th and 9th in the picturesque Kurkkufields, located in Chiba Prefecture, this festival invites everyone to ponder future food practices while connecting with renowned personalities.

Event Details and Guests

The highlight of this year's festival is the participation of model and sustainability advocate Rola, known for her commitment to organic farming. She will deliver a thought-provoking talk titled “Farming and Lifestyle: Cultivating Our Way of Life” on November 8th, highlighting the importance of sustainable agriculture and the direct connection between producers and consumers. Rola's insights will inspire attendees to consider their contributions to a sustainable food system.

On the following day, model Mira Hasegawa will host a session titled “Facing the Earth: What We Must Consider Together” on November 9th. Additionally, Miyoko Takayama, who emphasizes the significance of making and eating food mindfully, will engage the audience through a live stream on November 8th.

A Full Schedule of Activities

Attendees can look forward to a diverse range of 36 programs designed to immerse them in the world of food. The festival features content focused on rice—an incredibly significant staple in Japanese culture. Participants will engage in activities such as rice harvesting experiences, live cooking demonstrations, and information sessions on topics related to sustainable agriculture.

Visitors will be greeted at the main gate with an “Ear of Rice Shower”, celebrating the abundance of the season. Among the unique features of the festival is a “Rice Husk Pool”, an installation that represents the area of rice paddies required to feed one person for a year. Attendees are encouraged to dive in, take photos, and enjoy this interactive art piece that resonates with the event's theme.

The festival will host various workshops, cooking classes, and even a “Rice Ball Cheers” event that aims to connect participants through the joy of food as they share freshly made rice balls.

Accessibility and Online Participation

Conveniently located less than an hour from downtown Tokyo, Kurkkufields boasts a sprawling area equivalent to six Tokyo Domes, offering ample space for both offline and online participation. For those unable to attend in person, the festival will provide streaming options, allowing everyone to enjoy the festivities from home.

Tickets for the offline venue will cost 2,200 yen for adults and 1,100 yen for children, with free entry for preschoolers. Online shoppers can also browse a selection of products featuring organic ingredients like the “Furagirl” tomato juice, highlighting offerings from local farms.

More details regarding the schedule, ticket purchasing, and live stream access can be found on the official website: Earth Beat Festival 2025.
