Meiji Co., Ltd., under the leadership of CEO Bunjiro Yao, has made consistent efforts to emphasize the importance of body maintenance through its renowned 'R-1' yogurt. The introduction of 'Mr. R' aims to make health management more accessible and relatable for a wider audience.
Designed by the talented Norio Hikone, 'Mr. R' embodies the R-1 brand with a unique cap inspired by the yogurt bottles. He is crafted to resonate with individuals of all ages and genders, embodying a caring and supportive presence that watches over the health concerns of families and individuals alike.
Starting his journey on various platforms, 'Mr. R' will be featured in store displays, commercials, and promotional campaigns, ensuring that the crucial message of health management reaches a broad audience.
Outdoor Advertising in Shibuya
To celebrate the debut of 'Mr. R,' a significant outdoor advertising campaign has been launched in Shibuya. From October 30th to November 5th, various displays including WALLJACK, long banners, and big boards will showcase the amiable character. Notably, the ads will appear in the following locations:

Six broadcasts are scheduled on terrestrial TV for the following dates:

About the Illustrator Norio Hikone
Born in Tokyo in 1936, Norio Hikone is a distinguished artist with a history of working with various studios after graduating from Tokyo University of the Arts. He has created many beloved characters including 'Carl the Uncle' and continues to be an active member of the G9+1 anime group, known for its age-defying creativity since 2004.
