Tokyo Idol Festival 2025 Celebrates 15 Years of Iconic Performances

Tokyo Idol Festival 2025: A 15-Year Celebration

The vibrant and dynamic Tokyo Idol Festival is set to celebrate its 15th anniversary from August 1st to 3rd, 2025, at the Tokyo Odaiba Aomi area. This event is recognized as one of the world's largest idol festivals, bringing together more than 200 idol groups from both domestic and international stages. Excitement is at an all-time high, as fans eagerly await three days filled with electrifying performances that encapsulate the essence of summer.

Originating in 2010 in Shinagawa, the Tokyo Idol Festival was the first large-scale music event in Japan focused exclusively on idols. With each passing year, the festival's popularity surged, relocating to Odaiba and evolving from the Heisei era into the Reiwa era. Today, it proudly welcomes around 90,000 attendees, establishing its place as the largest idol event in Japan.

This year, organizers are not only celebrating the festival's rich history but also giving back to the loyal fans who have supported it over the past 15 years. A series of special projects are planned, allowing attendees to reflect on the idol scene, while simultaneously showcasing diverse stages that present the current state of idols today. This thoughtful curation ensures that fans of all backgrounds can enjoy the festival's offerings, transcending generations.

For those unable to attend in person, worry not! The festival will be livestreamed through FOD (Fuji TV's video distribution service) via Pay-Per-View (PPV). Fans can catch the action live from three stages: UP-T HOT STAGE, HEAT GARAGE, and SMILE GARDEN. Each stage will feature a carefully selected roster of talent, including popular established idols and promising newcomers, giving viewers an unmissable experience filled with exciting performances.
