Major International Talent Exchange Conference in Hainan
The bustling capital of Hainan, Haikou, is set to host the much-anticipated
Second International Talent Exchange Conference from December 6 to 7, 2025. Under the theme "Supporting Special Customs Operations and Building a Talent Center Together," this event marks a significant milestone in fostering a talent-driven economy in the region, coinciding with the complete launch of special customs operations across the island scheduled for December 18.
Hainan's local authorities revealed that this year’s conference promises to be the largest of its kind ever held in the province, aiming to highlight innovative talent recruitment strategies as part of Hainan's ambitious
One Million Talents Action Plan. The plan is crucial as it aims to enhance Hainan's development as a hub of technological innovation and talent.
Zhang Yuhui, director of Hainan's provincial talent management office, emphasized the importance of this conference, stating that it serves as a testament to Hainan's commitment to establishing an inclusive and supportive environment for talent and innovation. The event will focus on three crucial areas: showcasing achievements, promoting integration, and expanding cooperation among sectors.
Key highlights will include:
- - Presentations on the significant outcomes from the One Million Talents Action Plan;
- - Discussions on professional contributions to the development of Hainan’s Free Trade Port (FTP);
- - Future policy orientations that align with Hainan’s growth strategies.
Moreover, the conference will create opportunities for networking among key sectors such as seed cultivation, deep-sea technology, aerospace, digital economy, and green development focused on low-carbon emissions. By fostering dialogue and knowledge sharing, the event aims to enhance the synergy between talent and industry outcomes, facilitating a more integrated economic environment.
Leveraging its unique ecological advantages and policy frameworks from the Free Trade Port, the conference sets out to generate deeper collaborations with the
Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and beyond. This coordinated talent recruitment effort will streamline policy harmonization and resource sharing, supporting regional development strategies.
Zhang noted that this year's conference expects high-level participation with influential figures, experts from various sectors, international delegates, and representatives from leading multinational corporations.
A series of engaging activities, including forums, networking sessions, and recruitment drives, will promote cooperation among key industrial parks and highly qualified professionals. Furthermore, the utilization of multilingual communication channels will enhance the global outreach of the event, showcasing Hainan's ability to attract talent from around the world.
The event promises not only to establish Hainan as a prominent destination for talent exchange but also to invigorate its industries through innovative practices and collaborative partnerships. As the world looks toward Hainan this December, it is clear that this conference could redefine the region's approach to talent and innovation for years to come.
