AnySignal and their Collaboration with Reflect Orbital

In a landmark agreement, AnySignal, a prominent player in software-defined radio technology and space-based networking, has partnered with Reflect Orbital. This collaboration aims to enhance communication capabilities for Reflect Orbital’s pioneering satellite missions, which include their first satellite and two additional projects.

As part of this deal, AnySignal will provide their cutting-edge USX space transceivers to ensure effective operational communications during the missions. These state-of-the-art transceivers are designed to optimize satellite operations by consolidating multiple functionalities within a single compact hardware module. This innovative design allows the satellites to streamline their payload downlinks and telemetry, tracking, and command (TTC) functions significantly. By integrating these capabilities into a unified system, satellites can reduce their mass and minimize the complexity and weight associated with cabling.

Besides the hardware support, AnySignal will also implement their AnyLink software to facilitate seamless ground connectivity. This software acts as a gateway, allowing Reflect Orbital to aggregate and access numerous ground-station-as-a-service (GSaaS) providers through a singular interface. Such a design not only offers flexibility but also enables mission operators to manage multiple communication channels effortlessly, enhancing operational efficiency.

AnySignal's CEO and Co-Founder, John Malsbury, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “This agreement marks an important step for both companies. By integrating our systems for electromagnetic operations, we empower innovative clients like Reflect Orbital to focus on revolutionary satellite missions.” The joint venture aims to mitigate risks associated with early operations, thereby allowing Reflect Orbital to zero in on developing novel solutions for their spacecraft, according to Ben Nowack, CEO, and Co-Founder of Reflect Orbital.
