The integration of Mectron’s dental business is set to deepen this collaboration and unlock new pathways for innovation, further expanding the availability of Mectron’s technologies through HuFriedyGroup’s extensive global network, which spans around 100 countries.

Under the newly established agreement, the existing manufacturing site in Carasco, Italy, where Mectron produces its dental product line, will continue operations through a multi-year supply agreement. A transitional services agreement is also being formulated to ensure seamless continuity for customers, distributors, and suppliers during this period of change.

This acquisition encompasses Mectron’s dental operations within Italy, its German subsidiary, and specific dental activities based in Columbus, Ohio. Meanwhile, Mectron will maintain its focus on the medical sector, specifically piezoelectric technologies used in operating rooms.

The closing of this acquisition is anticipated by the end of 2026, pending the necessary legal processes and customary completion conditions. Until that point, both HuFriedyGroup and Mectron will maintain independent operations, ensuring no immediate changes for stakeholders.
