Introduction to TECHNO-FRONTIER 2025
The upcoming exhibition,
TECHNO-FRONTIER 2025, promises to be a landmark event for the motor technology sector in Japan. Scheduled from
July 23rd to 25th, 2025, at the
Tokyo Big Sight West Exhibition Hall, this gathering will showcase innovations and solutions in manufacturing, underpinned by motor technology. Organized by the
Japan Management Association (JMA), the event stands as the only specialized exhibition in the country dedicated to this field.
With roots dating back to the
Small Motor Technology Exhibition first held in 1983, TECHNO-FRONTIER has evolved significantly. Today, it reflects the transformative potential of motor technology across diverse applications, including electric vehicles, robotics, and drones. The growing importance of these technologies is more pronounced than ever, and this exhibition aims to highlight and analyze these trends.
Exhibition Highlights
TECHNO-FRONTIER is structured around
13 specialized exhibitions that cover a spectrum of cutting-edge solutions aimed at enhancing manufacturing efficiency and addressing industry challenges. The exhibitions include:
- - Motor Technology Exhibition
- - Motion Engineering Exhibition
- - Mechatronics Technology Exhibition
- - Power Systems Exhibition
- - Power Electronics Technology Exhibition
- - EMC and Noise Control Technology Exhibition
- - Thermal Design and Control Technology Exhibition
- - “Connected Factory” Promotion Exhibition
- - Visualization of Factory Systems Exhibition
- - Digital Transformation (DX) in Factories Exhibition

Featured Programs
The event will also spotlight a unique
Mechatronics Special Exhibition, exploring the theme of
Beyond Smart Factory—a vision of future manufacturing that enhances human living through smart technologies. After last year's success in introducing
industrial data connectivity, the current exhibition will expand on this concept as
six new exhibits showcase industry trends and the effectiveness of data interoperability.
1.
Industrial Data Integration with Digital Twins: Fostering autonomy through visualization technology, with partners including the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, SAP, Dassault Systèmes, and Siemens.
2.
Real-Time Industrial Networks: Presenting the latest advancements in interconnected machinery, led by industry groups like the ORiN Council and MECHATROLINK Association.
3.
Predictive Diagnosis via IoT/AI: Highlighting solutions for uninterrupted production lines with contributions from HIWIN and FANUC.
4.
Carbon Neutral Factories: Showcasing renewable energy solutions and hydrogen technologies, including innovations from OKUMADRONE.
5.
Human-Collaborative Robotics: Presenting automation success stories with Yaskawa Electric.
6.
Advanced Electric Actuation Technologies: Featuring the implementation of IE5 motors with industry leaders including NIDEC and Toshiba.
Special Attraction: EV Disassembly Showcase
Last but not least, the ever-popular
EV Disassembly Exhibit will return. Attendees will have the chance to explore the inner workings of the
Tesla Cybertruck and
Xiaomi SU7. This hands-on display allows visitors to see components that are usually hidden from view, enhancing their understanding of electric vehicles. An accompanying disassembly seminar will also provide in-depth insights, featuring expert discussions. Registration is required to attend the seminar, available through the official event website.
