Mirai Kuru Lab's Engaging Event
On March 29, 2026, the Mirai Kuru Lab, a company dedicated to providing children with opportunities to explore their interests and entrepreneurship, participated in the Setagaya Children's Job Festival held at HOME/WORK VILLAGE in Setagaya, Tokyo. This engaging event aimed to offer elementary and middle school students hands-on experience with various professions while providing a platform to discover their own interests and potential.
During this exciting festival, Mirai Kuru Lab conducted an original workshop entitled 'My Card Workshop.' This self-analysis program allowed children to take a survey consisting of 30 questions, resulting in the classification of their traits and strengths into eight specific types. The goal was to visualize their individuality, making it a unique and enjoyable experience.
Two student interns, Akira Taneishi and Meina Nonaka, participated in the operation of the workshop. They engaged with the children, provided feedback on their diagnostic results, and assisted in the creation of their personalized cards. This hands-on support made the event more engaging for participants, fostering a supportive learning environment.
The strengths identified during the workshop included categories such as 'Observational Skills,' 'Verbal Skills,' and 'Personal Strengths.' The results were visualized as radar charts, enabling children to see a clear representation of their strengths. After analyzing their results, the children chose their favorite design from twelve original character options and filled out their unique 'My Card' based on the radar chart outcomes. The result was a truly one-of-a-kind card created by each child.
The atmosphere at the event was electric, with approximately 350 students attending, alongside many parents showing interest in the activities. Some parents even participated, creating their own cards alongside their children, resulting in a fully-booked venue throughout the day. Feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their excitement at discovering their strengths. Comments like 'I was happy to learn about my strengths!' and 'It was right on point because I love moving my body!' resonated throughout the venue, highlighting the impact of such workshops on young minds.
Mirai Kuru Lab is committed to fostering opportunities for children to recognize their potential and take proactive steps toward shaping their futures. They believe that programs like these create a solid foundation for self-discovery and growth, empowering the next generation.
