L'Oréal Paris Women of Worth Celebration: Honoring Female Changemakers
On November 21, 2024, in a glittering event at NeueHouse Hollywood, L'Oréal Paris celebrated the 19th edition of its Women of Worth program. This prestigious initiative, aimed at honoring talented female leaders in the non-profit sector, recognized ten extraordinary women making significant strides in their communities. The evening was graced by a host of celebrities, including L'Oréal spokeswomen like Elle Fanning, Cara Delevingne, and Helen Mirren, who brought a touch of glamour and inspiration to the event.
The honorees of 2024 were introduced one by one, each sharing their compelling stories and the missions behind their organizations. Among them were Danelle Umstead (founder of Sisters in Sports Foundation), Hillary Cohen (co-founder of Every Day Action), and Jahnavi Rao (president of New Voters). Each honoree received a $25,000 grant to support their non-profit work, along with mentorship opportunities from L'Oréal's network.
The event also saw the presence of influential guests such as Sophia Bush and Coco Jones, who walked the 'Worth It' carpet to show their support for this year’s honorees. Speaking about the initiative, L'Oréal Paris USA President, Ali Goldstein, emphasized the importance of recognizing women who inspire change and embody the brand's philosophy of worth. "These honorees are perfect examples of resilience and leadership, making their communities better through their commitment and passion," Goldstein stated.
Elle Fanning, during her speech, expressed her excitement to be part of such a positive and impactful celebration. "The honorees truly embody what it means to be 'Worth It,' and I am so moved by each of their unique stories and drive to make a difference on critical issues.
The Women of Worth program has evolved significantly since its inception, growing to reflect the ever-changing challenges that women face today. In a bid to further support the honorees and their causes, L'Oréal Paris has established the Women of Worth Fund in collaboration with GlobalGiving. This fund aims to continue providing financial support to the honorees as they tackle vital issues such as health, education, and environmental sustainability.
Nominations for the 2025 class of honorees are now open until March 8, 2025, in celebration of International Women's Day. Women leading impactful non-profits can be nominated through
Women of Worth. The selected honorees will not only receive financial grants but also gain a national platform to share their stories, thus amplifying their advocacy.
In addition to the ongoing support from L'Oréal Paris, the partnership with Points of Light encourages community volunteering and civic engagement. It is a testament to the brand’s commitment to social responsibility and community support.
As we look forward to future celebrations, it's inspiring to see how the Women of Worth program continues to evolve and uplift women, proving once again that in a society that often underrepresents them, these remarkable women carve pathways for others to follow.
