Innovative Electric Cylinder EcoMove by Leetx Enhances Press-Fit Station Integration
Revolutionizing Automation with EcoMove
In a significant leap forward for system integrators and manufacturers, Leetx has unveiled the EcoMove, an intelligent electric actuator designed to facilitate the integration of automated press-fit stations. Traditionally, developing these setups involved the daunting task of sourcing components from multiple suppliers and writing custom code to ensure proper force control for PLCs. As a result, assembly times could balloon to between 40 and 100 hours per station, leading to non-standardized installations and limited data traceability.
EcoMove addresses these critical challenges. It combines mechanical components, a servo motor, control systems, a pressure sensor, and software visualization into a single pre-integrated unit, streamlining the assembly process substantially. Setup time is reduced dramatically to approximately two hours, a notable improvement that allows engineers to focus on application outcomes rather than component integration.
The EcoMove actuator is capable of handling a force range from 10 to 60 kN, equipped with stroke lengths of either 150 mm or 350 mm. This versatility allows it to perform various tasks, including press fitting, riveting, spring testing, bending, and straightening. It positions itself as an indispensable tool for production lines, particularly in sectors like automotive, electric vehicle battery manufacturing, and general industrial automation.
Key Features of EcoMove
1. Real-time Force Monitoring: Provides live data on force and movement, with compliance assessments at each cycle, ensuring quality control throughout the operational process.
2. Adaptive Speed Control: Maintains force overshoot below 2%, enhancing the precision of manufacturing operations.
3. Rapid Program Change: Stores up to 32 process programs, allowing for quick changes in production setups without prolonged downtime.
4. Industry Protocol Support: Compatible with multiple industrial bus protocols and standard I/O systems, facilitating easy integration into existing automation infrastructures.
5. Energy Efficient Design: Consumes just 1/20th of the power used by hydraulic solutions, with a noise level capped at 75 dB, making it suitable for quieter work environments.
All essential modules, including the mechanical structure, control systems, and software, are developed in-house at Leetx's R&D centers in Shanghai and Wuxi. The core components are manufactured in the company's precision machining workshops.
Samuel Chen, Head of International Operations at Leetx, explains, "System integrators often spend weeks assembling press-fit stations from disparate components, lacking quality assurance and data export capabilities. EcoMove offers a fully integrated solution with real-time monitoring and traceability features, allowing engineers to prioritize application results rather than integration hassles."
With CE certification, EcoMove is now available for purchase. Leetx's German subsidiary ensures service availability throughout Europe, reaffirming the company's commitment to high-quality support.
