Experience the Summer Delight: SHIKI Parfait - Natsu
As the warm rays of summer greet us, Wako Ginza introduces a refreshing addition to its seasonal menu - the "SHIKI Parfait - Natsu." Available from June 1 to August 31, this limited-time dessert brings together the best of summer flavors in a delightful chocolate parfait, priced at ¥3,740 (tax included).
Wako has been a pioneer of chocolate in Japan since 1988, long before the term "chocolatier" became widely recognized. With over 35 years of tradition, the brand continues to uphold its rich heritage through artisanal creations in its own atelier. The SHIKI Parfait series, which showcases seasonal offerings, aims to further elevate the allure of Wako's chocolate delights.
The star of this summer is the SHIKI Parfait - Natsu, a vibrant dessert featuring a medley of tropical fruits. The parfait boasts a base of white chocolate complemented by refreshing mango, passion fruit, coconut, and lime, providing a perfect escape from the summer heat.
A Visual and Tasty Delight
The presentation is as stunning as the flavors. Topped with smooth white chocolate cream, the parfait is adorned with mango and orange powder to resemble sunflowers, exuding a cheerful summer vibe. At its core lies a homemade white chocolate ice cream, surrounded by refreshing mango chunks and tart lime meringue. Each layer is meticulously crafted, featuring white chocolate-coated feuilletine and a hidden layer of cacao pulp sorbet that adds a delightful tang.
What truly sets this parfait apart is the variety of textures and flavors experienced in every bite. Alongside the creamy and refreshing elements, a luscious mango-passion fruit sauce ties it all together, ensuring each spoonful is a delightful surprise.
Introducing SHIKI Chocolat Fré - Natsu
In addition to the parfait, Wako has also launched the "SHIKI Chocolat Fré - Natsu," available for ¥648 per piece during the same summer period.
1.
Coco Citron Vert: A refreshing chocolate featuring coconut and lime, with a ganache infused with fragrant lime juice and crunchy coconut bits, reminiscent of a Malibu cocktail.
2.
Mango Passion: Bursting with fruity flavors, this chocolate pairs mango ganache with a vibrant passion fruit jelly, ensuring that summer's essence is felt in every bite.
Meet the Chefs Behind the Creations
At the helm of these luxurious desserts are talented chefs passionate about their craft. Chef Pâtissier Yudai Ono graduated from a culinary school and initially joined Patisserie La Vie Douce. He later earned a position as pastry chef at the Michelin-starred Ogasawara Count House and has been with Wako as a sous chef since 2022, aiming to elevate the dessert scene even further.
Sous Chef Chocolatier Nana Iio, a graduate of Tsujiguchi Culinary School, brings her expertise from the Intercontinental Tokyo Bay. With multiple accolades to her name, including awards in prestigious chocolate competitions, she is dedicated to crafting unique and exquisite confections.
