Club Harie Suitengumae to Open in Nihonbashi
In an exciting development for dessert lovers,
Club Harie, a renowned confectionery company based in Shiga Prefecture, is launching its first storefront in Kanto, specifically at
Nihonbashi. The grand opening is scheduled for
July 18, 2025, with doors opening at
10:00 AM.
The new shop will primarily feature a selection of
Baumkuchen, a traditional German cake made from layers of batter. Among the offerings, the recently released
Baumschokolade de Voyage, which debuted in January of this year, will delight customers with its rich flavors. The venue promises to incorporate innovative ideas into the humble Baumkuchen, continuously exploring new possibilities to cater to diverse customer preferences.
Store Overview and Special Offerings
The design of the store highlights the beauty of natural wood grain, symbolizing the rings of a tree, evoking the essence of its core product. An adjoining workshop will allow patrons to witness artisans creating their delectable products firsthand. A standout item at this location will be the
Baumkuchen Roll—a delightful cake that features a generous filling of fresh cream and custard. Each roll is meticulously crafted by skilled artisans in-house, ensuring a unique taste exclusive to the Suitengumae storefront.
For those seeking a more subtle sweetness, consider the
Baumkuchen mini Wasanbon, which utilizes fine Wasanbon sugar, widely appreciated for its delicate taste. The packaging, adorned with lithographs depicting the historical water shrine of Suitengumae from the Meiji era, reflects an intention to foster long-lasting joy in this storied locale.
