What is Ameba Reading Talk?
The Ameba Reading Talk method addresses a common issue faced by many learners: the inability to speak fluently even when they understand written text. This challenge often arises because reading aloud is perceived merely as a repetitive exercise rather than as a pathway to genuine conversation. Urashima's method involves using texts of approximately 150-300 words, guiding participants through a three-step process of understanding, internalizing, and expressing their thoughts. Just like an amoeba adapting its form, learners will transform their understanding of English into effective speaking skills, tailored to various situations.
Who Should Attend?
This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to improve their English speaking abilities, regardless of their proficiency level. If you've ever felt lost about how to start speaking or lack confidence in your reading aloud skills, you will benefit greatly from this experience. It is especially suitable for:
- - Individuals who want to speak English but do not know where to begin.
- - Those who understand the importance of reading aloud but lack confidence in their methods.
- - Learners who have been studying independently but feel stagnant in their progress.
- - Anyone seeking to acquire practical language skills, rather than just theoretical knowledge.
What Will You Learn?
Participants will gain valuable insights into how reading aloud can enhance their conversational abilities. You will:
- - Understand the mechanism through which reading fluency translates to conversational skills.
- - Experience concrete training methods that transition your practice from reading to speaking effectively.
- - Take away practical learning techniques that you can continue practicing at home.
With Urashima's guidance, you will leave the workshop feeling empowered and ready to implement your new skills immediately. The session promises to be a valuable investment in your English learning journey.
