Spring Valley Brewery (SVB), under the leadership of President Akari Imoto, celebrates its 10th anniversary on January 9th, 2025. This landmark year marks the beginning of various innovative events throughout the season, aiming to provide customers with an enchanting and unforgettable beer experience. The highlight of the festival is centered around the iconic Japanese summer festival, bringing the essence of summer to both Spring Valley locations—Tokyo and Kyoto.

Main Events

Sushi x Craft Beer Festival in SVB Tokyo

On June 21st and 22nd, SVB Tokyo will host the “Sushi x Craft Beer Festival.” This special two-day event features an array of craft breweries, including SVB and ten others, collaborating with Neo Emotion, known for its renowned rotating sushi restaurant, Maguro Danya Miura Misaki Port. Together, they will showcase the exquisite pairing of craft beer and sushi, allowing participants to immerse themselves in this unique culinary experience.

Craft beers specially brewed for this event will highlight Japan's distinctive brewing techniques, showcasing flavors that harmoniously complement sushi. In addition, a collaborative beer created through discussions with various breweries will be debuted, aimed specifically at enhancing sushi pairings.

Don't miss the impressive “Bluefin Tuna Cutting Show” by craftsmen from Neo Emotion on June 21st at noon, or the mesmerizing taiko drum performance scheduled for June 22nd by a renowned local group, Miku Taiko Dojo, sure to embody the summer festival spirit.

Sushi x Craft Beer Night in SVB Kyoto

Only a few days later, on June 25th, 2025, SVB Kyoto will be celebrating with the “Sushi x Craft Beer Night.” In collaboration with Sushi Komatsu, located just ten seconds away, attendees will indulge in a delectable sushi set featuring five types of sushi, including premium tuna, alongside a buffet of specially crafted summer festival foods unique to Kyoto.

An exclusive beer named “Kyoto 2025 – Rice Koji Sour” will be available for the first time at this event, expertly paired with a unique sushi developed by Chef Tsuda Nobuhide. Guests can also engage in tales of brewing and insights on food pairings presented by head brewer Matsumoto.

10th Anniversary SVB Summer Festival Fair

Spanning from June 23rd to August 8th, 2025, both SVB Tokyo and Kyoto will host the “10th Anniversary SVB Summer Festival Fair.” This event will bring back memories of nostalgic Japanese summer festivals through a unique rendition of classic street foods, with five exclusive items developed at each location.
