Hitachi at Open Source Summit Japan
The Linux Foundation is set to host the global event,
Open Source Summit Japan, from December 8 to 10, 2025, and Hitachi Ltd. proudly announces its participation as a gold sponsor. This event signifies a key gathering for open-source enthusiasts and professionals, providing a platform for networking and knowledge sharing among developers and users of open-source technology.
Hitachi's engagement in this summit is noteworthy, with a total of

Seven sessions and two panel discussions will spotlight various aspects of their work, particularly emphasizing the business applications of open-source software (OSS).

Yuichi Nakamura, Head of OSPO, who will share insights on how OSS can be harnessed effectively in business scenarios. Underlining this, he will also discuss Hitachi's recent achievement of receiving the
Chop Wood Carry Water Award from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) for leading community efforts in Japan.
Throughout the event, attendees will gain valuable insights into contemporary technology trends in areas such as AI, cloud-native approaches, and security protocols. The presentations are to be conducted in English, granting wider access to a global audience, while Hitachi's displays will be available in Japanese, ensuring local participants can comfortably engage with the content.

- This panel will explore strategies and best practices for mentoring the next wave of contributors to the OSS ecosystem, addressing challenges and opportunities that arise in such programs.

- A talk on hybrid LLM inference using the application development framework LangChain and the Agent2Agent protocol.

Session: Safety Critical Software (Dec 10, 16:40)
- A discussion on how OSS plays a pivotal role in the digitization of the energy sector, featuring case studies from the LF Energy project that simplifies operations through virtualization and automation.
The event will take place at the
Toranomon Hills Forum, located in Minato, Tokyo, with attendance fees starting at
$599 (USD) until November 24, subsequently rising to
