Hub International Announces New Appointment

Hub International Limited (HUB), a prestigious global insurance brokerage firm, made headlines with the recent appointment of Paul Collins as the Northeast Area President, effective July 1, 2026. This strategic move signifies HUB's commitment to expanding its reach and enhancing service delivery across the Northeast region, where it operates numerous offices in both Northeast and New England.

Collins will continue his leadership role in HUB Northeast while also assuming responsibility for HUB New England, which encompasses a total of over 60 offices across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. This expanded leadership structure aims to foster collaboration and synergy among the teams operating in these closely linked geographies.

Charles Brophy, the Regional President of HUB U.S. East, praised Collins for the transformational influence he has had on HUB Northeast, emphasizing the trust he has built among clients and colleagues. Brophy stated that Collins's leadership will harness shared growth opportunities and address the increasing demand for HUB’s diverse insurance solutions. The focus will be on enhancing new business opportunities, further cross-selling, and streamlining client access to HUB’s comprehensive offerings.

Paul Collins joined HUB in 2017 as the President and CEO of HUB Northeast. His tenure has been marked by impressive organic growth, characterized by strategic producer hiring, cross-selling initiatives, and successful client retention efforts. Under his guidance, HUB Northeast has also expanded its footprint through targeted acquisitions that broadened its industry expertise, particularly in areas like Private Equity, Healthcare, Real Estate, and Construction. These acquisitions have strengthened HUB’s market position, allowing them to better serve their clients.

A notable aspect of Collins's leadership has been his advocacy for leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance producer insights and strengthen client relationships. His forward-thinking approach is reshaping how HUB interacts with clients, emphasizing tailored solutions driven by insights and analytics.

Having spent over 29 years in the insurance sector, Collins possesses extensive experience, having started his career as a producer. His journey has seen him ascend to senior leadership roles at national insurance brokerages before his tenure at HUB. Furthermore, Collins holds a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation and actively contributes to the Cox School of Business Alumni Association Board of Directors at Southern Methodist University.
