Kiyosumi Halloween Week 2025: Celebrating Fun and Creativity for Kids
The Kiyosumi Halloween Week, organized by the Kiyosumi Halloween Week Executive Committee, will take place from October 24 to 26, 2025. This festive event, now in its fourth year, has grown into Japan's largest Halloween festival for children, attracting around 3,000 participants annually.
New Initiatives in 2025
This year's festivities are set to be even more exciting, with the introduction of a new project that involves the creation of an original Halloween song and music video (MV). This initiative aims to boost children's expressive activities and revitalize the local community.
The concept of the event—"Connecting the City, Enjoying the City"—is designed to foster interactions between children and local businesses. Kids will visit participating stores dressed in costumes, collecting treats while engaging with local residents. This year, in addition to the Koto Ward, events will also be held in the Sumida Ward, specifically in the Ryogoku area.
A Massive Area and Numerous Participants
More than 80 stores will participate, covering an impressive area of over 5 km², equivalent to more than ten times the size of Tokyo Disneyland, which occupies around 0.465 km². The vast number of participating venues ensures a memorable Halloween experience for every child.
Original Halloween Song, Dance, and MV Production
To amplify the Halloween spirit, children will partake in creating an original Halloween song, dance, and music video (MV). The plan is to shoot the MV in various locations throughout the neighborhood, showcasing the joy of Halloween and encouraging kids to develop a love for their local area.

Workshops and Seminars for Parenting and Education
The Kiyosumi Halloween Week will also include seminars aimed at addressing parenting challenges and providing children with a fun Halloween experience. Participants can join workshops like face painting and hair arrangement, taking place at the Neighborhood Club in Kiyosumi Shirakawa.
Halloween Party at STARDIUM
One of the highlights will be a Halloween party at STARDIUM in Monzen Nakacho, featuring various dances and a costume contest.

Family Connection Through Everyday Sex Education

Additionally, for the first time, the Sumida Ward will participate, expanding the event’s reach and allowing simultaneous celebrations in multiple areas, rather than being confined to a single location.
Support Through Crowdfunding
To support this year's Halloween Week and the music video production, a crowdfunding campaign will be conducted. Contributors will have their names listed in the music video credits, showing public appreciation for their support, which helps children engage and enjoy their community, while expanding the reach of the Kiyosumi Halloween Week.
