Innatera Introduces Neuromorphic Developer Program with New Tools for AI Advancement

Innatera Unveils Neuromorphic Developer Program

In a notable development for the AI community, Innatera, a trailblazer in neuromorphic computing, has announced the launch of its Developer Program. This initiative introduces a new Developer Portal along with Pulsar evaluation hardware accessible via DigiKey. Designed for engineers, researchers, and enthusiasts, this program aims to empower users with the tools necessary to innovate and deploy neuromorphic AI solutions.

Overview of the Developer Program

Starting from November 5, 2026, the Developer Program will facilitate access to advanced technological resources essential for neuromorphic application development. With Pulsar, Innatera's state-of-the-art Spiking Neural Processor, developers are set to harness ultra-low-power intelligence directly at the point of sensor data capture. The applications for this technology span a broad spectrum, including human presence detection, keyword spotting, audio scene classification, and predictive maintenance in both consumer and industrial settings.

Sumeet Kumar, CEO of Innatera, emphasized the transformative potential of neuromorphic computing, stating, "Neuromorphic computing will advance through what developers build with it. Our responsibility is to equip them with tools that inspire confidence and creativity. By integrating hardware with intuitive software workflows, alongside technical guidance and a supportive community, we’re bridging the gap from concept to real-world application."

Features of the Developer Portal

The Developer Portal will act as the cornerstone of the program, providing a comprehensive repository of software, documentation, application examples, community discussions, and support. Central to this is the Innatera SDK, which is divided into two main components: Talamo for AI application development and compilation, and Spine for executing embedded applications on the Pulsar.

Talamo and Spine Components

  • - Talamo is designed for ease, allowing developers to create sensor-processing pipelines, train neural networks, and simulate applications using a Python-based workflow with PyTorch integration. It also includes an application compiler that converts pipelines into embedded applications that can be run on Pulsar.
  • - Spine provides the essential embedded toolchain and firmware, ensuring a seamless transition from model development to on-device evaluation.

This streamlined approach promotes efficiency and empowers developers to focus on creating innovative applications that leverage physics-based AI capabilities not typically achievable with traditional computing architectures.

Pulsar Evaluation Hardware

Accompanying the software resources is the Pulsar evaluation hardware, now available for purchase through DigiKey in the European Union. This hardware consists of two interconnected boards:

1. IgnisCore - This processing module features the Pulsar processor, together with USB connectivity, onboard memory, and power consumption monitoring circuitry.
2. SensForge - This board connects to IgnisCore, enabling the integration of microphones, motion sensors, radar, temperature sensors, and Bluetooth Low Energy. These features support the prototyping process using genuine sensor inputs.

Together, these components allow developers to fully exploit Pulsar's capabilities, test applications using various data types, and analyze power consumption while crafting their designs. Researchers and academic teams can also move beyond theoretical frameworks, applying their projects on tangible neuromorphic hardware.

Getting Started with the Developer Program

Innovators interested in exploring the Developer Program can register at developer.innatera.com to access the Innatera SDK and purchase Pulsar evaluation hardware through DigiKey at this link. Availability will be rolled out to other regions progressively.
