Hitachi Building Solutions Lab Expands Its Exhibits
Hitachi, Inc. and Hitachi Building Systems have significantly revamped their customer co-creation research facility, the Hitachi Building Solutions Lab, located in Adachi, Tokyo. This expansion, set to formally open on March 2nd, aligns with Hitachi's new management plan,
Inspire 2027, which aims to foster a harmonized society where environment, happiness, and economic growth coexist.
The newly refreshed lab will serve as a platform to accelerate digital innovation in building management, addressing societal challenges such as workforce shortages and the urgent need for carbon neutrality. Central to this exhibit is
HMAX for Buildings: BuilMirai, a comprehensive solution set that combines domain knowledge with cutting-edge AI technologies.
Overview of New Exhibit Features
1. AI-Driven Building Management with Digital Twin Technology
The lab now features demonstrations of how AI and digital twin technology can transform building management. By analyzing crowd movement data, AI agents propose optimal solutions while users can interact with a robot in a virtual space, which mimics real-world navigation.
2. Acceleration Towards GX/ZEB Initiatives
In pursuit of carbon neutrality by 2050, the lab presents solutions for decarbonization and energy cost reduction within buildings. Visitors can experience Hitachi's IoT solution
exiida, showcasing how real-world air conditioning systems can be made visible and manageable through augmented reality.
3. Enhancing Seamless Mobility and Well-Being in Buildings
Aiming to improve quality of life and safety for building users, the lab proposes seamless mobility through integrated building facilities and elevators. Future elevator models, such as the
Urban Ace HF Mirai, will feature connectivity with transport robots and systems that supply power to elevators during outages.
4. Strengthening Comprehensive Proposals through One Hitachi
Recognizing increasingly complex societal issues, Hitachi will showcase a range of case studies from its diverse business sectors, all centered on
HMAX for Buildings. This includes innovations to boost on-site engineering efficiency and safety through the
AI Safety Solution.
