On June 16, 2025, the widely-anticipated Hakata Chuka Soba Kōnosuke will open in the underground commercial space of SHINJUKU DELISH PARK located in Odakyu Ace North Building, serving up delicious ramen in a limited-time pop-up format. With over 90 locations in 12 countries, Hakata Ikkōsha is a global leader in ramen cuisine, and its addition of Kōnosuke further elevates its reputation.

What is #ShinjukuRamen?

The SHINJUKU DELISH PARK curated by Odakyu Department Store is a unique pop-up ramen space where famous ramen shops from all over Japan set up for a week at a time, creating an ever-changing culinary experience. Each location is meticulously selected by ramen lovers who aim to showcase the best of Japan’s ramen heritage in one city. Known for generating buzz through magazine features and television broadcasts, #ShinjukuRamen has established itself as a must-visit spot, especially for busy office workers grabbing lunch during weekdays. At times, the line can exceed 150 people, demonstrating the overwhelming popularity and demand for this ramen haven right next to Shinjuku Station.

What to expect from Hakata Chuka Soba Kōnosuke?

Hakata Chuka Soba Kōnosuke specializes in its iconic black soup, which is certainly an experience in itself. Using a unique blend of soy sauce made by Yamataka Shoyu, a century-old soy sauce brewery from Fukuoka, the flavors are meticulously crafted using a proprietary aging method that enhances the umami. The result is a clearly delicious broth that is both rich in flavor and surprisingly light on the palate.

Accompanied by specially crafted medium-thickness straight noodles from Seimenya Keishi, the texture perfectly complements the bold soy sauce, ensuring every bite is a delight. Toppings such as fresh green onions from Fukuoka and generous slices of char siu (braised pork) round out this exceptional dish. The uniquely flavored char siu is thinly sliced to match the richness of the soup and noodles, making for an easy-going eating experience that appeals to patrons of all ages.
