Iken Construction's Innovative Cinematic Advertisement
Iken Construction Co., Ltd., a major player under Iida Group Holdings, is set to launch an ambitious advertising campaign for its film project titled
Hajime, Ken, and Setsu: Bonds Beyond Time. The film is scheduled for release on December 5, 2025, showcasing a unique advertisement format in collaboration with iconic manga artist Yoichi Takahashi, famous for the tremendous work
Captain Tsubasa.
This innovative advertisement will run across all Aeon Cinema locations nationwide, utilizing a cinematic experience to engage audiences in a way that traditional advertisements may not achieve. Iken has been expanding its brand recognition through their well-received web series featuring the characters Hajime, Ken, and Setsu since 2022. However, this project elevates their creative approach by transforming the cinema into a media platform for brand engagement.
Turning Cinemas into Brand Experiences
The film combines compelling storytelling with advertising, as it is designed to resemble a classic theatrical experience while embedding the brand effectively. The main feature of this advertisement will consist of a 90-second narrative that commences with a fictional distribution logo for 'Iken Construction PICTURES.' This innovative structure is intended to create an immersive atmosphere, making the audience ponder whether they are about to watch a movie or an advertisement.
From the beginning to the end, the advertisement employs a playful element, filling the credits entirely with the names Hajime, Ken, and Setsu, ensuring that the Iken name is seared into the viewers' memories. This strategic design aims to offer a strong, engaging brand experience that resonates beyond the fleeting nature of typical ads.
Creative Advertising Materials
The promotional materials surrounding this campaign, such as posters and flyers, meticulously mimic the aesthetic of an actual film release. Audience members will notice that the elements within the posters, including release dates and credits, are designed to evoke laughter and engagement, encouraging them to delve deeper into the advertising message. Moreover, these materials will serve as reminders with enticing messages such as “Be Sure Not to Miss It!”, further provoking audience interest.
Large display panels, measuring 2.2 meters in width and 1.5 meters in height, will be strategically positioned throughout participating cinemas, enhancing the visual experience for moviegoers.
Targeting Aeon Cinema Shiatnas Chofu
The campaign will primarily take place at Aeon Cinema Shiatnas Chofu, a location historically referred to as the 'Hollywood of the East.' Chofu remains a center for cinematic events, hosting seasonal festivals like the Chofu Cinema Festival. This backdrop offers a meaningful context for audience engagement, allowing Iken Construction to capitalize on the cultural significance of cinema in the area.
The cinematic advertisement will run from December 5 to December 18, 2025, also featuring at 98 Aeon Cinema locations across the nation. A supplementary 30-second ad version will be available at United Cinemas during the same period. For more information about this creative endeavor, visit the special website at
