2nd "Living with the Sea, Aono Craft Marche" Supported by Creema
Creema, Japan's largest handmade marketplace known for empowering creators, will hold its second edition of the "Living with the Sea, Aono Craft Marche" in Nishinoomote, Kagoshima, on November 30, 2025. The event aims to promote community vitality and increase interaction among residents through a single-day craft market.
Having initiated a relocation experience project in Nishinoomote in 2023 aimed at boosting community relationships, Creema is set to bring together around 20 diverse creators representing different regions of Japan. These creators, including bag artisans from Tokyo and woodworkers from Aichi, will showcase their unique works at the designated venue, which is the renovated Jin River Community Center—a former school.
The market features a vibrant mix of handmade crafts along with workshops suitable for all ages. Visitors can participate in making pouches and accessories while enjoying local cafes and farm-to-table restaurants that will also be partaking in the event.
A theme of “Aono,” representing the rich nature of Nishinoomote, will inspire featured creators to produce exclusive pieces for sale. Many of these items will be available for purchase before the event on the Creema online marketplace. This initiative hopes to enhance the dynamics of Nishinoomote and encourage visitors to experience the area's charm, potentially leading to increased relocation interest.
