Midea Building Technologies Unveils Integrated Smart Solutions at AHR Expo 2026
Midea Building Technologies has made a significant impact at the AHR Expo 2026, presenting its comprehensive range of advanced solutions for smart buildings under the theme "Smart in One." This initiative showcases a diverse portfolio of technologies tailored to meet the evolving demands of pivotal sectors like data centers, industrial parks, and commercial buildings.
Cutting-Edge Technologies on Display
Among the key highlights at Midea's booth is the MagBoost Apex Pro, a high-efficiency centrifugal chiller equipped with an innovative second-generation oil-free magnetic bearing system. This design not only minimizes mechanical friction but also enhances operational efficiency and reliability. The unit boasts impressive performance ratings, with an IPLV of up to 9.71 when using the R1234ze(E) refrigerant. Engineered for longevity, this compressor features a lifespan of 30 years, an IP67 rating for dust and moisture protection, and operates at a sound level of just 70 dB(A). Furthermore, its modular design allows for the combination of up to 16 units without additional control systems, making it adaptable for various applications while using eco-friendly refrigerants like R1234ze(E) and R513A.
In response to the increasing demands of data centers, especially with the rise of AI-powered computing and high-density server deployments, Midea is also offering an all-encompassing thermal management solution. This includes precise Liquid Distribution Units (CDUs), high-performance fan walls, and efficient cooling systems. These technologies are projected to deliver a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) as low as 1.2. Enhanced reliability features include multi-level redundancy and weather-resistant technology, ensuring that cooling systems operate non-stop.
Intelligent Integration for Smart Management
The cornerstone of Midea's exhibit is the Midea iBUILDING, a comprehensive digital platform designed for seamless building management. This pioneering solution facilitates intelligent connectivity between devices, data, and operational scenarios. It features a winning smart gateway that can connect various equipment types, such as VRF systems, heat pumps, and chillers, through a single unit, supporting multiple communication protocols. With built-in BACnet and Modbus integration, it guarantees compatibility with existing Building Management Systems (BMS).
The platform offers two main applications: iEasyComfort, which provides operational visibility and energy monitoring for end-users; and iEasyCare, which ensures predictive maintenance through real-time fault detection and performance analytics for maintenance personnel. These tools enable proactive upkeep, energy optimization, and enhanced system reliability.
A Holistic Approach to Industry Challenges
A spokesperson for Midea Building Technologies emphasized that their presence at the AHR Expo transcends mere product showcasing; it represents a holistic approach to address critical challenges in energy intensity, operational resilience, and management complexity across key areas such as data centers, transport platforms, industrial parks, and commercial buildings. This integrated approach positions Midea not only as an equipment supplier but also as a partner in driving the global building industry toward a smarter and more sustainable future.
Through the continuous improvement and innovation represented by the "Smart in One" philosophy, Midea is taking significant strides in shaping the future of building technologies.
