Join the Community Building Summit
On November 10, 2025, we will host a special event titled "Learning Locally, Thinking Locally" in conjunction with the annual celebration of Japan's culinary culture at the "Meguru Meguru Japan's Dining Table Conference 2025". This initiative is organized by the Community Building Summit Committee, focusing on revitalizing various regions across Japan.
This year's event stands as a significant gathering for community development players who are dedicating their efforts to stimulate local economies and cultural heritage. As Japan faces a decrease in population, it is crucial to acknowledge and promote bilateral community revitalization efforts. This event provides a platform for various regions to communicate their unique challenges and solutions, showcasing the evolving landscape of local revitalization efforts.
Background of the Summit
The "Learning Locally, Thinking Locally" summit is a special edition of our ongoing series designed to share and circulate unique ideas and initiatives derived from local communities all over Japan. It brings together passionate players in the field of community building—each contributing positive and innovative approaches to address the challenges they face in their respective regions.
Previously, we have successfully hosted the summit in three locations:
- - Oga City, Akita Prefecture (March 2023)
- - Nozawa Onsen Village, Nagano Prefecture (November 2023)
- - Tateyama Town, Toyama Prefecture (November 2024)
This year's summit is especially significant as it coincides with the national food conference, providing an excellent opportunity for collaborations and discussions on building local richness through food and community.
