Huawei Strengthens Collaboration with Partners Across Europe to Drive Growth

Huawei Strengthens Collaboration with Partners Across Europe

On April 22, 2025, Huawei hosted the European Partner Conference in Como, Italy, gathering over 1,000 partners to highlight its commitment to collaboration and sustained growth in the region. At this pivotal event, Huawei leaders reiterated their focus on deepening partnerships to create a robust sales network essential for mutual success and continuous growth.

Willi Song, President of Huawei Europe Enterprise Business, addressed the audience by stating, "Enterprise business will be the core growth engine for Huawei in Europe, which is why we are increasing our investment in this area." He emphasized the importance of an open ecosystem, noting that collaborative efforts with partners are crucial for achieving remarkable customer solutions and services across the continent.

In 2024, Huawei witnessed significant global revenue growth, jumping to 862.1 billion yuan—a 22.4% increase from the previous year, with Europe playing a critical role in this expansion. Huawei's growth in the region is further underlined by its workforce; the company employed over 13,000 individuals across Europe by the end of 2024, having also maintained its status as a 'Top Employer' for six consecutive years. The company has established 29 R&D centers in 14 countries, collaborating with over 210 universities to cultivate a talented pool of more than 30,000 professionals in the ICT field.

Focus on Partner Leadership Strategy

Huawei operates primarily through its partner network to generate sales. To better support its partners and enhance the collaborative ecosystem, the company has introduced the 'Partner + Huawei' strategy, which aims to deliver additional resources and support to its partners. Xia Xingchang, Huawei's Vice President of European Enterprise Business, stressed the centrality of partners to the company's enterprise business strategy, stating, "With their support, we can provide the best possible solutions and services for our customers in Europe. Our message is clear: We are grateful for your support, and we want to strengthen our partnership, as collaboration is the driving force behind our mutual success."

Xia highlighted the initiative to empower partners by improving support frameworks and policies that facilitate the sales of Huawei's solutions and help solve customer challenges. For example, partners can leverage a joint marketing fund to invest in branding, training, or digital advertising initiatives. They have the opportunity to elevate their statuses from Registered Partner to Silver, Gold, and up to Diamond level, with each tier offering additional resources and support. The idea is that the more partners contribute, the more they are rewarded through discounts and extra resources.

Driving Smart Industry Upgrades with Cloud Technologies

Tim Tao, President of Huawei Cloud Europe, shared insights at the conference: "Smart transformation is the most significant opportunity for Europe over the next decade." Amid Europe's wave of digital transformation, Huawei Cloud collaborates with its partners to leverage four key technology trends—multi-cloud, cloud virtualization, distributed cloud, and AI-ready cloud infrastructure—to drive smart industry upgrades. Through the GoCloud and GrowCloud partnership programs, Huawei Cloud empowers its partners to foster capability growth and achieve business success. To date, Huawei Cloud has served over 6,000 organizations in Europe, delivering high-performance, secure, and reliable cloud services that expedite intelligent transformation across sectors using AI and big data technologies.

This year, Huawei Cloud plans to initiate the 'Cloud Leap' initiative in close collaboration with its ICT ecosystem partners across Europe, aiming to explore wider market opportunities through tailored business scenarios, opportunity matching, workforce synergy, and professional support. Together, they aim to expand market possibilities and conduct more business collaboratively.

Focus on Industry-Specific Solutions

Huawei also showcased updates about new applications and solutions, focusing on industry-specific, scenario-based solutions tailored for public administration, education, healthcare, retail, hospitality, and managed service providers. Xia commented on the company’s proactive development of solutions that specifically address industry challenges and clients' pain points. With AI-supported networks, smart storage systems, and advanced data analytics, Huawei aims to assist organizations not only in complying with regulations but also in transforming operations and adopting digital and intelligent transformations.

For instance, the educational sector benefits from High-Quality Education Network Solutions featuring full Wi-Fi 7 coverage and advanced storage capabilities for research efficiency. In healthcare, a complete All-Flash Hospital Information System and embedded IoT access points enhance patient care. Retail has access to Intelligent Store Networks leveraging Wi-Fi 7 and IoT, alongside managed service provider networks powered by the iMaster NCE platform that ensure high availability and secure network maintenance.

Conclusion: Fostering Future Collaborations

Xia concluded, "This partner event is a prime opportunity to share business ideas, future strategies, and new solutions. We strengthen our partnerships by fostering active marketing programs and hosting significant industry events, aiming to support the growth and reputation of our partners in Europe. We seek to expand existing partnerships while welcoming new ones. Let's grow together and win the future."
