This translates to a remarkable monthly reduction of around 100 minutes, or 20 hours annually. From a financial perspective, companies stand to save about 60,000 yen each year due to reduced labor costs. Furthermore, the standardization of information sharing fosters consistent practices, thereby nullifying potential discrepancies in order communication.

For example, with real-time access to transaction data and inventory status, partners can verify order details and delivery schedules through the system, thus drastically cutting down the miscommunication that frequently occurs through phone and fax verifications. Additionally, last-minute pickups, caused by unexpected material shortages, are significantly less common, contributing to further logistical efficiencies.

Together, these gradual improvements are paving the way for considerable enhancements in production management and safety oversight, while also helping to mitigate risks in the manufacturing environment. Historically, Takamiya’s transactions with partner companies involved nearly 1,960 paper documents each month. Moreover, with plans to visualize the status of assets lent out and to digitize the receipt of storage certificates, Takamiya seeks to lessen the risks associated with the Storage Policy Act, while alleviating burdens on management.
