Yasutsune Owada, a notable figure in Japanese medieval history, is a director at the Japan Castle Association. Born in 1972 in Tokyo, he abandoned his PhD at Kokugakuin University and currently teaches at Shizuoka Eiwa Gakuin University as well as Waseda University's Extension Center. His expertise spans the Sengoku period and the intricacies of castles, armor, and swords. He has authored multiple works, including
“A Dictionary of Sengoku Battles” and
“Guide to Japanese Castles”, and notably contributed to the historic documentation for NHK's 2023 Taiga drama “How to Succeed in the House of Ieyasu.”
