Explore the Future of Mobility at Miraikan
The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, known as Miraikan, located in Odaiba, Tokyo, is set to host an exclusive exhibition titled "Let’s Create Future Mobility! - Manufacturing Game Board -" from February 18 to March 31, 2026. This exhibition aims to showcase the process of innovative manufacturing by engaging visitors in a unique board game format. With the theme of future mobility, it allows participants to experience the journey from imaginative ideas to tangible creations.
As visitors navigate through different layers of the exhibition, they will see how collaboration, technology gathering, and iterative processes lead to the realization of dreams. A centerpiece of inspiration will be the Toyota Miridon, a physical manifestation of the character from the popular game "Pokémon," created through the power of manufacturing. During the event, attendees will also have a chance to participate in test rides of this fascinating vehicle.
Manufacturing begins with a simple dream: "How wonderful would it be if we could create this?" This exhibition will provide insights into the journey from conception to realization, imparting knowledge about the dedicated engineers involved in the creation of future mobility solutions. It’s an opportunity for visitors to understand that they are also active participants in shaping the future society through their creativity and imaginations.

About Toyota Miridon
The Toyota Miridon project began with a simple child’s drawing of the character Miridon. Developed to embody the idea that dreams can become reality—"imagination creates the future"— engineers utilized their skills derived from experiences at Toyota to bring this character into the real world. Miridon can transform from a four-legged walking mode to a biking-like driving mode.
