On October 7, 2025, Suing Engineering Co., Ltd., a group company of Suing Corporation, headquartered in Minato, Tokyo, entered into a contract with the Wakayama City Enterprises Bureau for the equipment installation at the Kanō Water Purification Plant. This move marks a significant advancement in enhancing local water infrastructure.

Background and Features of the Project

The Kanō Water Purification Plant draws its water source from the Kinokawa River and serves as a key water supply facility for Wakayama City. Since its establishment in 1973, the plant has been responsible for delivering potable water to citizens. However, with age-induced deterioration, a structured plan for upgrades and seismic reinforcements has been initiated.

The current construction project comprises machinery and building equipment designed to install a new filtration system. This includes an automatic reverse-flow cleaning filtration system equipped with slow-down capabilities, as well as filtration tank covers and various piping systems. The project will be executed while ensuring the continuous operation and maintenance of existing facilities, highlighting the careful management of the ongoing infrastructure.
