DB HiTek Set to Showcase Innovations at PCIM 2025 in Germany

DB HiTek to Shine at PCIM 2025 in Nuremberg

DB HiTek, a leading company in the 8-inch semiconductor foundry industry, is gearing up to attend PCIM 2025, Europe's largest power semiconductor exhibition, taking place in Nuremberg, Germany from May 6 to 8, 2025. This event presents a vital opportunity for the company to enhance its marketing strategies and expand its footprint in the European market.

At the exhibition, DB HiTek plans to unveil its latest technological breakthroughs, particularly in its world-class BCDMOS technology, specialized CIS solutions, and advanced SiC and GaN power semiconductors. Notably, the company's SiC and GaN processes are viewed as key drivers for future growth, and they will take center stage at the event.

Recently, DB HiTek finalized the foundational features of its 8-inch SiC wafers through an entirely internal processing method. Throughout the current year, the firm aims to enhance performance and reliability and intends to offer this process to customers by the end of 2025. Additionally, DB HiTek has successfully developed an 8-inch GaN process featuring 650 V HEMT characteristics, with reliability validation expected to be completed this year. The company announced the forthcoming launch of a dedicated GaN MPW service in October 2025, set to support customers’ product assessment efforts actively.

Market research firm Yole Développement projects that the global market for SiC and GaN power semiconductors will almost double from $3.6 billion in 2024 to $7.6 billion by 2027, highlighting a robust 27.6% CAGR.

Commenting on their participation at PCIM 2025, DB HiTek stated, "This exhibition will provide an excellent platform to showcase our renowned strengths in supporting fabless customers and collaborating with international partners within the European region."

Despite being a global leader in 8-inch analog and power semiconductor processes, DB HiTek's customer base in Europe remains significantly smaller than in other regions, making PCIM a strategic opportunity to broaden its market share by attracting new clients and strengthening ties with existing ones. Currently, DB HiTek manufactures chips for 400 companies, achieving cumulative shipments of 6 million 8-inch wafers for analog and power semiconductors.

Moreover, DB HiTek has acquired specialized CIS processing technologies, including X-ray sensors, Global Shutter, and SPAD, and is actively involved in mass production alongside various partners. Their semiconductor applications span mobile telecommunications, consumer electronics, and industrial sectors, with a growing market share in automotive chips in recent years.

DB HiTek's proactive stance at PCIM 2025 not only showcases its innovative capabilities but also positions the firm as a formidable player ready to meet the evolving demands of the semiconductor landscape in Europe and beyond.
