Nessy Inc., based in Setagaya, Tokyo, is preparing to participate in EcoPro 2025, Japan's premier exhibition on environment, SDGs, and sustainability, which will be held at Tokyo Big Sight from December 10 to 12, 2025. The event highlights the company's commitment to addressing the opportunity disparities faced by children through innovative partnerships.
At the EcoPro event, Nessy will be featuring its efforts in the "JAPAN IMPACT ECONOMY EXPO" area, in collaboration with the Asahikawa City and Izumi-Otsu City’s Organic Agriculture Promotion Council. The center of the exhibition will be Nessy's flagship initiative, the "Kodomo Furusato-Bin," which introduces organic agriculture promoted by Asahikawa City.
The exhibition booth will offer insights into how regional specialties can be delivered to children in need, including child cafeterias and single-parent families, utilizing the "Furusato Tax Donation" system. This initiative not only delivers food but also creates experiences and opportunities for children, empowering them through community support. Attendees will learn about the delivery process and see first-hand how these support items, or "support goods", have made an impact on children’s lives.
Experience the Warmth of Giving
Kodomo Furusato-Bin embodies the warmth of giving by leveraging the Furusato Tax Donation system to send local specialties relevant to children's needs. Contributors receive typical Furusato Tax gifts while simultaneously participating in child support efforts. The booth will showcase successful partnerships with local governments in Hokkaido, including Asahikawa and Tokachi towns, as well as Noto town in Ishikawa, Tsushima and Iki cities in Nagasaki, and Miyakonojo city in Miyazaki. Photographs and letters from children expressing gratitude will provide a poignant reflection of this warm cycle of giving.
In addition to showcasing local government collaborations, the exhibition will address food loss reduction and regional revitalization, guiding attendees on how to participate and contribute. There will also be a hands-on experience for attendees with an exhibition designed for interaction.
Exhibition Highlights:
- - Presentation of collaborating local governments and display of gifts.
- - Introduction to the Kodomo Furusato-Bin mechanism and support achievements. Contributors can view photographs and letters from children who have benefitted from this initiative.
- - An experiential gacha machine where participants can win gifts while learning about the support system, alongside receiving a large novelty bag when registering as a LINE friend or following on social media.
- - Display of actual support goods sent to children from Asahikawa City, including rice and other regional products, demonstrating the effective utilization of previously underused community resources.
