EveriGo Program: Paving the Way for IT Careers
In a groundbreaking collaboration between Kitakyushu University and the City of Kitakyushu, the EveriGo program aims to bridge the gap for those interested in entering the IT sector, even if they have no prior experience.
Set to launch in mid-September 2025, this six-month vocational training program is meticulously designed to help participants secure employment in the fast-paced world of technology.
A Curriculum Focused on Practical Learning
One of the standout features of the EveriGo program is its strong emphasis on practical skills. From the groundwork of web development to advanced applications, participants will dive into a step-by-step learning process. The goal? To empower them to independently develop functional systems by the end of the program. Here’s how EveriGo prepares its students for the tech world:
- - Dedicated Training Environment: Each participant is provided with their own custom setup for hands-on practice.
- - Real-World Experience: Through practical exercises, attendees gain experience that closely reflects actual industry scenarios.
- - Complex Systems Familiarization: The program is structured to help students naturally acclimate to challenging system environments.
- - Comprehensive Skill Training: Key topics include HTML/CSS, JavaScript, backend development, databases, Git, and effective use of generative AI.
Who Can Participate?
The program is specifically tailored for:
- - Individuals currently unemployed.
- - Those working in non-regular employment who can allocate time for weekday classes.
Recommended Candidates
While the program is open to a diverse age range, candidates in their
20s and 30s are particularly encouraged to apply. To participate, applicants should also meet the following criteria:
- - Own a laptop.
- - Have basic computer skills, including keyboard input, internet usage, email communication, app management, and file operations.
Program Costs and Fees
Participation in the EveriGo program is surprisingly affordable:
- - Tuition Fee: Free
- - Additional Costs: Approximately 6,000 yen for course materials and 4,000 yen for insurance (applies only to those wishing to take part in internships).
Program Overview
- - Duration: Mid-September 2025 to mid-March 2026 (approximately six months)
- - Total Learning Time: 420 hours (averaging about 70 hours monthly)
- - Class Schedule: Tuesday to Friday, 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM
- - Format: Online classes supplemented by in-person sessions at ATOMica Kitakyushu and the Tokyo Satellite office.
- Kitakyushu: Classes will be held two times a month.
- Tokyo: On-site attendance is required about three times over six months.
Attending from the Kanto Area
Participants from the Kanto region can enroll as well, with in-person attendance required only on select dates. Most learning will take place online, providing flexibility for remote students. For applicants from this region, registration in the City of Kitakyushu’s “U・I Turn Support Project” is mandatory. This initiative offers job placement and housing assistance for those wishing to relocate to Kitakyushu.
