The event takes place from December 6 (Saturday) to December 28 (Sunday) at the prestigious Ginza Tsutaya Bookstore. This exhibition showcases the creative journey of Yoneyama, highlighting the intersection of traditional and digital artistry.

During the exhibition, visitors can view Yoneyama's remarkable piece 'AFTERGLOW', which was crafted using Celsys' beloved app CLIP STUDIO PAINT and the acrylic materials provided by Turner Color. The collaboration between these two companies has led to the creation of advanced resources, including a unique material set that captures the essence of Turner Acrylic Gouche, enhancing the creative possibilities for artists.

A special making-of video documenting the conception of 'AFTERGLOW' will be released on the official CLIP STUDIO PAINT YouTube channel on December 10 (Wednesday). This video not only provides a behind-the-scenes look at the artistic process but also features Yoneyama discussing her inspirations and commitment to her craft.

The piece displayed at the exhibition, 'AFTERGLOW', is an exemplary demonstration of the capabilities offered by CLIP STUDIO PAINT, along with the vibrant tools and brushes included in the Turner Acrylic Gouche material collection. This collection will be available on Celsys' material service, CLIP STUDIO ASSETS, starting March 2025, featuring a brush designed to mimic the texture of acrylic gouaches and a palette of 154 colors, broadening the artistic toolset for digital artists.

About Mai Yoneyama


Mai Yoneyama is a talented illustrator, animator, and artist hailing from Nagano Prefecture, Japan. With a career that spans various artistic mediums, she has gained recognition for her work as a video director in commercials and music videos. Through her exhibitions, Yoneyama continuously seeks out innovative techniques, exploring the potential of digital illustration. She began her journey as an illustrator after working with an animation company in 2018, creating illustrations for book covers and advertisements.

Her previous exhibitions, including 'SHE' in 2019 and 'EGO' in 2021, have received praise, with her recent showcase 'EYE' at the PARCO MUSEUM in TOKYO highlighting layered works printed with UV on acrylic. One of her standout pieces, '00:00:00:00', exhibited at the START ART FAIR 2021 in London, is a collection of 16 works that beautifully blend time and spatial arts, reflecting her background as an animator.
