China’s International Forum on Intelligent Communication 2025

On November 8, 2025, the city of Wuxi in Jiangsu province hosted the China International Intelligent Communication Forum 2025. This event was organized collaboratively by the China Media Group (CMG) and the Jiangsu Provincial Government, highlighting the significance of smart communication in the modern era.

The forum served as a vibrant platform for announcing several groundbreaking projects and initiatives. Among the highlights was the International Ranking of Intelligent Communication Capabilities of Chinese Cities for the year 2025, released by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. This ranking aims to assess and enhance the communication capabilities of urban centers in China, recognizing those that excel in this increasingly crucial area.

Additionally, the forum introduced the Global Language Service Platform for the Yangtze River Delta, a joint effort by CCTV.com, Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU), and Jiangnan University. This initiative aims to foster multilingual communication and collaboration in a globally connected environment.

The event also witnessed the formal signing of 14 priority projects aimed at enhancing the cultural industry in Wuxi. One of the unique entertainment features was the official launch of a city-themed micro-series, which showcases Wuxi's rich heritage and modern advancements.

Esteemed speakers graced the forum, including notable figures such as Huang Wei, an academician from the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS); Dmitrij Palčunov, an academician from the Russian Academy of Engineering; Guo Tong, Chairman and CEO of CCTV.com; and John Probandt, co-founder of the WAW Foundation. Their insights enriched discussions on the future trajectory of intelligent communication and the need for global cooperation.

Another remarkable segment was the Global Youth Roundtable, where young leaders voiced their personal journeys and experiences. Notable participants included Chen Ming, a host and debater; Zhu Yiran, a director known for her work on Shenzhou 13; and Mohamed Jihad, an ambassador for the Silk Road Friendship, who shared inspiring narratives illustrating the role of youth in today’s communication landscape.

Alongside the main forum, a series of events were organized to delve deeper into various aspects of intelligent communication. These included the Digital Human and AI Forum, the Wuxi International City Image Communication Forum, and a Film Forum exploring the cultural nuances in visual storytelling. A workshop dedicated to local initiatives in international communication and a media tour for foreign journalists showcased Wuxi’s vibrant community and highlighted its international outreach efforts.
