Empowering Young Entrepreneurs to Tackle Global Issues
A new wave of young entrepreneurs is emerging, specifically elementary and middle school students who are motivated to provide solutions to everyday struggles and global challenges from their unique perspectives. These budding business minds are set to present their innovative ideas at the upcoming
8th CEO Kids Business Contest on
September 5, 2026.
Hosted by
CEO Kids Academy, an organization dedicated to nurturing entrepreneurial thinking among children, the contest highlights the importance of engaging young individuals in problem-solving from an early age. The finalists will present their business concepts aimed at addressing pressing social issues such as hunger and organizational difficulties, demonstrating how children can contribute to meaningful change.
Among this year's finalists is a 9th grader from Nagasaki Prefecture, who aims to create a new type of sticky note designed specifically for individuals who struggle with tidiness. Her idea stems from the desire to build an environment where everyone can say, "I did it!" regardless of their organizational skills. Another finalist, a 2nd grader from Fukuoka Prefecture, has proposed an SDGs-themed board game focused on hunger. This game encourages both adults and children to take action together, reflecting the initiative's commitment to fostering teamwork and social responsibility.
The contest promises to be an inspiring event, with finalists traveling from across Japan to showcase their visions in front of a panel of judges that includes entrepreneurs, investors, and sponsors. Attending media representatives will have the opportunity to conduct interviews and gather insights from the participants prior to the event.
