The Masterpiece Unveiled
Designed for the Japan World Expo 2025 at the Austrian Pavilion, this grand piano is a stunning interpretation of Hokusai’s iconic woodblock print,
The Great Wave off Kanagawa. Only 16 pieces of this model have been produced globally, lending it an air of exclusivity and historical significance. The inside of the piano's lid features the famous wave, immersing players and audiences in Hokusai’s vision of the powerful sea while they enjoy melodious sounds.
Artistic Features
More than just a musical instrument, this piano is a piece of art in its own right. The inner sides of the sideboards echo the color themes characteristic of Hokusai’s work, including the striking Persian blue that captures the essence of his iconic imagery. Furthermore, the frame and music stand are embellished with Hokusai's signature in red, reflecting the deep cultural significance the color holds in Japanese tradition. Buyers will also find a brass plate with a serial number embedded in the wooden structure on the left side of the keyboard, marking its uniqueness.
