Haruulala Launches Campaign for World Children’s Day 2025 to Support a Greener Future

Haruulala's Initiative for World Children’s Day 2025

In a significant effort to tackle child labor issues in Bangladesh, Sunday Morning Factory, a company based in Fukuoka City, Japan, has announced a campaign titled "World Children’s Day 2025 - A Future Forest for Children". This initiative seeks not only to raise awareness but also to promote actionable solutions aimed at creating a work environment where children are protected from labor exploitation.

Background of Haruulala Organic

Haruulala organic is known for its commitment to producing organic cotton baby and children's clothing, along with birth celebration gifts. Established in 2017, the brand aims to eradicate child labor in Bangladesh by providing parents from impoverished backgrounds with stable job opportunities at their in-house apparel factory. This creation of secure employment is crucial in helping children avoid the burden of work.

As part of their ongoing dedication to social responsibility, Haruulala’s efforts will be showcased in an upcoming documentary titled "Future Runners - 17 Futures," scheduled to air on Fuji TV on November 5. Viewers are encouraged to watch and support the mission.

World Children’s Day Campaign

Coinciding with World Children’s Day on November 20, Haruulala will conduct a campaign to facilitate reforestation and convey messages for the future. This event aims to unite collective efforts to ensure a brighter, more beautiful Earth for future generations. The campaign kicks off on November 10 and runs until November 20, inviting donations of 100 yen per participant. Remarkably, Haruulala will match each donation, doubling the impact to a total of 200 yen per contribution for reforestation support.

Participation and Rewards

In gratitude for their support, participants will receive a digital gift card designed by Haruulala. After the campaign concludes, updates on messages to future generations and details of the reforestation efforts will be released, providing transparency and engagement with all supporters.

Significance of World Children’s Day

Originally established by the United Nations in 1954 to promote mutual understanding and welfare of children globally, World Children’s Day has a rich history. Significant milestones include the adoption of the "Declaration of the Rights of the Child" in 1959 and the "Convention on the Rights of the Child" in 1989, which guarantees rights for all children.

Continuous Environmental Commitment

Haruulala has consistently engaged in sustainable actions, reaching a remarkable milestone of planting 6,684 trees thus far. Their dedication is driven by the belief that a livable planet is essential for the future of children. An example includes their efforts around World Environment Day in June 2025, where a series of textile collections inspired by wildlife resulted in the planting of 2,000 trees, with 10% of sales allocated for this purpose.

Grassroots Engagement

During the "Fukuoka City Urban Growth Future" event held in September 2025, Haruulala actively participated by allowing attendees to fold origami with custom designs, corresponding to a tree planted for each origami folded. A total of 144 trees were planted as a direct result of community involvement.

Partnership with Ikaw-Ako

In partnership with the Filipino NGO Ikaw-Ako, Haruulala is working towards creating sustainable forests. The organization supports local ecosystems through tree planting and forest management, ensuring long-term growth and community engagement.

Conclusion

In his message, President Masahito Nakamura reflects on the company’s mission to empower children in Bangladesh to escape the cycle of poverty and aspire to a hopeful future through education. However, he emphasizes that climate change threatens these aspirations, making like-minded initiatives for tree planting essential. By planting a single tree, we can collectively safeguard the environment and nourish future generations. The collaborative approach symbolizes a movement towards creating a world where every child can thrive.

Haruulala organic continues to evolve in its mission while fostering an eco-friendly approach, contributing to a sustainable future.
