Football Manager 26: Major Updates and Features Revealed
SEGA has recently unveiled an exciting new trailer for
Football Manager 26 (FM26), set to be released on
November 5, 2025, across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows), Mac, Netflix, and Apple Arcade. The trailer highlights significant developments, such as a revamped user interface (UI), the incorporation of women’s football, and enhanced tactical systems.
A Revitalized UI for an Enhanced Manager Experience
One of the standout features of FM26 is its dramatically revamped UI, designed to provide a more intuitive and polished experience for managers. Gone are the traditional sidebars; instead, players will find a sleek navigation bar at the top of the screen, facilitating seamless access to critical elements like player acquisition, tactical setups, and pre-match preparations—all well within reach.
The new
“Portal” feature serves as the central hub for club management, consolidating essential information such as news, messages, match results, and calendars. This one-stop source aids managers in organizing team preparations and tactical adjustments ahead of match day, ensuring that the overwhelming amounts of information don’t hinder their performance.
The search functionality has also seen a notable upgrade, allowing users to swiftly access information about clubs, players, coaches, tactics, and the valuable
“FMPedia,” which houses useful guides and support information. This enhanced design ensures that both newcomers and seasoned players can easily find the information they need without getting lost in a sea of details. FM26’s new UI retains the series' hallmark strategic depth and knowledge while simplifying and clarifying operations, promising a revolutionary managerial experience.

The Arrival of Women’s Football
Fans have long awaited the debut of women’s football in the series, and FM26 finally delivers. The game features 14 leagues spanning 11 countries across three continents, boasting one of the world’s largest databases for female football. The intricacies of the transfer market, contract specifics, and injury trends vibrant within women’s football have been faithfully recreated.
Player movements and actions have been meticulously captured through motion capture, effectively showcasing the players’ unique styles, from attacking formations to defensive tactics. This groundbreaking addition promotes coexistence between men’s and women’s football in a unified soccer ecosystem, allowing players to manage their clubs like never before.

Managers will now have a more granular control over player placement and roles. New and redesigned roles have been incorporated to enrich the tactical experience further.
The
“Visualizer” feature enables an intuitive perspective on the team’s structure during attacking, defending, and midfield scenarios. This functionality allows managers to understand how their crafted strategies manifest on the field, making tactical adjustments more manageable than ever.
For novice managers, assistant suggestions facilitate straightforward enjoyment, while advanced users can delve deeper into formations and roles for tailored tactical approaches.
