Cool Summer Noodles at The Capitol Hotel Tokyo

As the summer heat intensifies, The Capitol Hotel Tokyo, under the management of General Manager Koji Shimura, brings a refreshing twist to dining with its summer-exclusive cold noodles. From June 2 to August 31, 2025, guests can indulge in these delightful dishes crafted by the unique styles of two of the hotel's renowned restaurants: the Chinese cuisine of 'Hoshigaoka' and the all-day dining venue 'ORIGAMI'.

Each restaurant showcases its distinct culinary flair, promising a luxurious and refreshing experience that not only tantalizes the taste buds but also revitalizes the body during the sweltering summer months. With a focus on flavors and presentation, these cold noodles not only satisfy hunger but also provide a moment of cool respite from the heat.

Hoshigaoka's Cold Noodles

At 'Hoshigaoka', patrons can enjoy two main cold noodle options featuring various seafood and house-made char siu (roast pork). The standout dish, 'Gomadare Hiyashi Chuka,' features a vibrant assortment of ten ingredients, including Cantonese char siu, shrimp, steamed chicken, jellyfish, and rolled omelet, all beautifully arranged. This dish is complemented by a house-made sesame sauce that includes a twist of mustard and oolong tea, delivering a rich yet refreshing taste.

Another highlight is the 'Shrimp, Chive, and Ground Pork Cold Soup Noodles.' This dish presents succulent shrimp combined with fragrant chives and pork, all in a cold soup that tantalizes the palate. The balance of tangy saltiness enhanced by vinegar makes it a perfect summer dish that is both light and flavorful.

ORIGAMI's Summer Offerings

In contrast, 'ORIGAMI' offers its own take on summer with a variety of fresh cold noodle options, such as the 'ORIGAMI Cold Noodles,' which fully utilizes the umami-rich broth from their popular 'Pork Cutlet Noodle' dish. Featuring abalone, seafood, and seasonal vegetables, this dish is garnished with half-boiled eggs, lime, and shredded seaweed for added flavor. The exceptional balance of flavors truly showcases the essence of summer.

Additionally, guests can relish the 'Capellini with Amela Tomatoes and Basil,' a simple yet elegant dish highlighting the sweetness of high-sugar 'Amela' tomatoes and fresh basil, creating a quintessential summer experience. 'Cold Carbonara,' served with abundant vegetables, is another refreshing twist; featuring a light sauce augmented by a hint of soba soup, it brings an innovative and rich taste to the table.
