BE OPEN Art Launches 2025 Regional Competition for South Asia
The humanitarian think-tank, BE OPEN, founded by the philanthropist Elena Baturina, has announced the continuation of the BE OPEN Regional Art program with a focus on supporting emerging talents in South Asia for the year 2025. This initiative aims to recognize and showcase artists whose works reflect their regional, cultural, and ethnic identities within a competitive framework.
Competition Overview
The BE OPEN Regional Art competition is now entering its third consecutive year, and it primarily targets budding artists from seven countries: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The first phase of the program will take place over the next three months, culminating in the announcement of the South Asia regional winner in early April, who will receive a prize of 500 euros.
The selection process will involve public voting, along with evaluations by the BE OPEN expert community to ensure that the chosen artists truly embody the artistic traditions of their respective regions. In addition to the regional winner, a
