Scientific Games Named the New Mexico Lottery's SGEP and New Gaming Systems Technology Partner



In a landmark decision, Scientific Games has been selected as the full-line provider for the New Mexico Lottery, demonstrating its stronghold in the sector with a new, decade-long agreement. This latest contract enhances its ongoing partnership by expanding its role in providing not just gaming systems technology but also bolstering the details surrounding Scratchers under the Scientific Games Enhanced Partnership (SGEP) program.

David Barden, CEO of the New Mexico Lottery, expressed excitement about this strategic collaboration following a comprehensive competitive selection process. “We are thrilled to have Scientific Games on board as our exclusive lottery systems technology partner. This contract will enable us to implement a unified solution across all facets of our lottery operations, optimizing overall performance and ultimately enhancing scholarship funding for students in New Mexico,” he stated.

Scientific Games will be rolling out its innovative Momentum ecosystem for the New Mexico Lottery, which will include cutting-edge solutions such as the advanced AEGIS central gaming system and the SciTrak instant game system. Furthermore, it will employ the Infuse business intelligence platform to better analyze data and trends, ensuring a refined gaming experience for lottery players.

With more than 1,000 retailers, the WAVE X point-of-sale terminals combined with the PlayCentral suite of self-service machines are set to revolutionize user engagement by offering a wider array of game content. John Schulz, President of Americas Global Instant Products for Scientific Games, highlighted that this collaboration marks an exciting new chapter in the lottery's evolution. “Having partnered with the New Mexico Lottery on instant games for years, we are eager to enhance their performance as a full-line provider. Their innovative approach toward Scratchers is something we aim to build upon with a full suite of advanced solutions,” he remarked.

The SGEP program will grant the New Mexico Lottery comprehensive support in Scratchers portfolio management and game planning services, along with enhanced data analytics, advanced logistics, and retail sales and marketing support. This program is currently utilized by over 20 lotteries worldwide, which has translated to improved results; in fact, partners within the program reported a staggering 31% increase in performance during the fiscal year 2023-24.

Notably, Scientific Games will also provide licensed properties such as GAME OF THRONES, thus introducing thrilling and recognizable themes to an already diverse portfolio. Headquarters in Albuquerque will house a specialized team of experts from Scientific Games, focusing on game development, product enhancement, and technology integration, supported by state-of-the-art facilities.
